I was woken up by a scream that literally shook the house, i tried to wake Tan only to find myself sleeping alone, he didn't come to bed? where was he? "No!", i heard the scream again, it was coming from one of the guest rooms, i rushed to the room, it was Tan. What was happening? I was terrified. I tried opening the door, it was locked, i started knocking as hard as i could, "Tan, baby please open the door", i cried then the shouting stopped. "Cute face am fine it was just a dream, am sorry i woke you", he said like he was running out of breath. He was having nightmares about the kidnapping. I was so stupid, why didn't i thing he will be affected by this like i was. "It's ok baby, just open the door, i want to sleep with you, i miss you", "Just go to our bed, am going to join you shortly ok?", he said slowly like he was trying to control his breathing. "Ok, but can you unblock me? i can't feel you or mind link you", i begged, i heard him pacing back and forth. "I know, just give me some time to adjust ok?". I couldn't let him do this alone, i need him. I want to help him. "Baby, please let me in, you don't have to do this alone, please", "Lola, leave me the fuck alone! fuck! just go away!", now that was a wake up call. "Aargh!", he screamed and i heard something break. I walked back to our room and cried myself to sleep.
I made sure to wake up super early in the morning and rushed to TnL, I needed a distraction. I know Tan has anger issues and i have seen him angry before but the fact that he directed that to me was just scary. I didn't know if i hated him or not. i decided to go through the deliveries that we had for the day, Madison and Jessy had done a great job, everything was just the way i liked it and i could easily find what i wanted. It was as if i never left. At least one thing was as i remembered. I did all the preps that were required and finally opening time was approaching. I was about to turn the open sign when Madison and Jessy entered. "Oh goddess, welcome back", "We missed you so much", Jessy said filling my heart with warmth. This is what i wanted all along, so feel such affection from the people i love. "When did you get here? You have sorted everything already!", Jessy asked surprised i just shrugged my shoulders. "We missed you", Madison said sadly, i hugged her. "I missed you guys too that is why i was early today, i did all this so that we can have enough time to gossip", i added a wink making them smile. Madison's eyes went foggy then back to normal. She looked at me all weird, making me nervous. I knew it was Tan i was just worried about what he told her. "Did you tell Tan that you were coming here?", "No, he was still asleep when i left, don't tell me he freaked out", i said pretending to play cool and roll my eyes. "Apparently yes, you should have told him, he has been having a tough time you know", "What do you mean?", "He didn't tell you? gosh! this guy", Jessy pulled me to the waiting chairs that we have for customers. "When you were in a coma, he was having trouble sleeping that Roman and Jasper had to move in with him, he couldn't sleep he would get nightmares so they told him to spend more time in the hospital with you and that seemed to help, i can imagine how relieved he must be feeling now", "I bet the sex was awesome huh?", Madison said wiggling her eyebrows making us laugh. I wanted to tell them the truth but i remember what he told me and that was what am going to do. Give him time.
The day is over, all i could think about was a bubble bath and a glass of wine. I passed by a fast food and bought some food for myself. If my instincts were correct then i will be having the house to myself tonight. It hurt but i was going to be a bigger person and give him the space he wanted.
Tan, so predictable, i went to the guest room and found a broken cupboard and flower vessel. I cleaned up the room and made the bed. I placed sweat pants for him to wear for bed, he hated pajamas. When i was sure the room was perfect i prepared my bubble bath with scented candles and just relaxed. I don't remember how long i stayed in the water until i heard a knock so and had to leave my heaven for it. "Chill will ya!", i said playfully and opened the door to find Jasper. "Hey you! come in, i'll be right back", he just nod his head and entered. I got dressed in Tan's shirt and returned to the kitchen. I was about to give him some of my pizza but he had brought his own food. We ate in silence, i knew why he was here but i was not about to talk about it nor was he. "I was going to watch Aliens, are you in?", i asked while finishing with the dishes. "You! watching aliens? can you handle it?", was he kidding? I guess he will learn today. I chuckled and led him to the living room.
"Oh shit!", Jasper screamed as the first alien appeared. "You are such a baby", i said holding back a laugh. "Try being a man having that thing inside you and see who wont be fuck! i feel sick", he faked vomiting making me laugh. It was nice to let go after all that has happened. Sure i preferred doing it with Tan but i had to take what i could get.
"Have a good night Lola", "Thank you Jasper, you too and say hi to Alessia", i said closing the door behind me. I was alone once again. I just went to the fridge and decided to switch things a bit to whiskey. I have to get sleep somehow.
