Chapter 25 - Traitor’s Brother 1.4

The movie finished and my family was still yet to have come home. I frowned, looking at the time and seeing that it wasn't too late actually, so it's not really surprising that they weren't home yet. I yawned and I turned off the tv before I grabbed my dishes and I took them into the kitchen and washed my dishes before putting them up to dry. I turned off the lights as I went, knowing that they would be able to see in the dark anyways so it wouldn't matter. I headed up the stairs and to my bedroom, knowing that I was going to take a shower before I went to bed. I wish that Kit and Gio were here, but I suppose they will wake me when they get here.

I stepped into my bedroom, and I stripped off my clothing, tossing it into the hamper to wash it in the morning before we left. I padded into the bathroom, turning on the shower so the water could heat up as I brushed out my hair to untangle it so it wouldn't be a mess later.

I stepped under the spray of the water, closing the shower curtain behind me. I carefully washed my hair, using shampoo and conditioner, and washed my body, making sure to leave myself squeaky clean and pampered, even though I didn't really do anything this day anyways.

Once I was finished, I turned off the water and I opened the curtain, wrapping a towel around my body so I could step out of the shower and start drying myself off. I blow dried my hair off, making sure that my hair was not damp because I didn't want to get sick. Once I was finished, I dried off my body and I stepped back into my bedroom, and pulled out some clothing, quickly pulling on some boxers, a pair of basketball shorts and one of Gio's shirts. I pulled the shirt up and smelled the scent, sighing in content as I took in Gio's scent.

I miss them...

I really miss Kit and Gio, and I can't help but wonder when they are going to get back here...

I walked over and checked my phone, and I saw no text messages. I frowned, wondering what was going on as I saw it was about ten at night, and nobody had come home. Hell, not even mom was back yet, which was quite strange. Did something happen that I didn't know about? Maybe I should mindlink one of them and see what is going on. That is probably the best idea if you ask me.

Kai --- Dad, is everything okay? Why aren't you guys not home yet?

Dad --- Yes, we will be home soon. We were put into a setback as a rogue had attacked and there was a big fight between the rogue and Christian, but obviously he handled it very well and now Christian is having the rogue detained and taken to the maximum security rogue lands. It shouldn't be much longer, I promise.

I relaxed, although I didn't like the fact that Christian had been attacked by a rogue, but I am glad that he is okay. I set my phone down and was going to crawl into bed when I heard a noise coming from downstairs, and I frowned, knowing that it couldn't be my family since they were stuck dealing with a rogue, so it must be mom. Deciding I could go downstairs to greet her, I headed out of my room and down the dark hall, wondering why mom didn't turn on the lights since she's human and doesn't have good eyesight like I do.

"Mom?" I called out, looking for her.

I heard a movement behind me and I froze, knowing instantly that it wasn't mom. Before I could turn around and defend myself, I was struck from behind hard and I slammed against the wall, my head hitting the wall so hard that I saw stars. I slumped to the floor, wondering why I couldn't be stronger, or maybe this person is just insanely strong. I looked up, trying to see their face, when their fist connected with my face and everything went black…
