The rest of Derick's infiltration team was hiding behind a column in the capacious corridor where the bolted door was. They hadn't heard a peep from him since he entered the exhaust shaft, thus they became very worried for his safety, especially Sasha. She tried contacting Derick via his com unit but their communication went silent.
"I wonder what is going on inside there. Derick isn't answering my calls." Sasha was still trying to contact her spouse via their communication device, but the transmission wasn't getting through.
Abigale suggested, "Maybe he turned it off."
"Or maybe he has been compromised." Said, Carl. "I don't think that we should linger here much longer. I think we should pick our asses up and blast the hell through that door and see what is going on inside."
