Boom!
The blast which occurred in the kitchen carried everyone outside the room. Sasha and Abigale were already outside when it happened, helping Sachel to get dressed. Nigel was the closest to the explosion when it occurred, thus he landed at the back of the gang. After giving Carl back his battery, Derick went over to where Nigel was prostrate on the floor and helped him up.
"Nigel are you ok?"
"I'm fine." Nigel accepted Derick's assistance. "Let's get out of here before reinforcement shows up. I'm certain that explosion must have attracted a few Sky Munchers."
Derick asked again, "Are you sure you are not hurt?"
Though he was in immense pain, Nigel acted tough. "I don't have to be hurt. Everyone move your asses!" He brushed off himself and ran ahead of the gang.
"Baby hold onto me." Sasha put her son onto her back and told him to keep a tight grip around her.
"Alright, mommy." Sachel did as he was told.
