Chapter 2 - Sweet Sinner | 1.1 Wedding Party of Tragedy

The sunlight that time was very hot on the face filled with guilt and tears. Persia was on her knees, her hands almost reaching for the heels of the man who was now standing firmly, ready to drag her to court. Persia's mistake was made right on her last day in Indonesia, as well as the last day she would be Mahardika's mistress. All of this completes destiny one day when Persia hears that the woman who was accidentally hit is dead, with serious wounds to the chest and crushing of the heart of a bride named Hilda Luxembourg.

Persia wasn't very good at apologizing, but now she was on her knees, tilting her head with her fingers intertwined to spark hope that Hilda's family would forgive her mistakes. 'Impossible!' in a pessimistic Persia's heart. Yes, because Persia's mistake was not like postponing a thesis but taking someone's life.

"I didn't mean to, I'm sorry. I don't want to go to jail!" Persia's slogan in the history of her life today.

In the halls of the Persian building lurks a man who is speechless without an answer. Persia examined foreign faces not from among ordinary people, she guessed whether the man was from another country. Although Persia did not hear his words, the man gave Persia a chance.

"I swear I didn't mean it like that, sir." Persian trembled in fear. "I... I didn't mean it that way, sorry."

Robert glanced briefly, then bent down and grabbed a few strands of Persia's hair using his hands, until the girl groaned in pain. "Before your oath was heard, I made sure that you wouldn't run away so easily!"

Robert returned furious with the look in his eyes. "Right now you will take her place with you!" Robert solidified his will.

Without waiting for an answer from the girl's thin, trembling lips, Robert immediately straightened his back and then ordered his men to drag Persia. Even though fighting it was futile, Persia screamed in a strangled voice until finally the girl was on the altar.

The simple party which was attended by several people witnessed the tears of Persia rejecting a one-sided marriage. Persia sobbed more remembering her mother's figure. If Persia had stayed until the plane took her to America, this tragedy would never have happened and she would not have felt a terrible mistake that would have put him in prison. But whatever it was, just wishful thinking, until Persia felt Robert's hard hand grabbed her finger.

Not only did Persia stay silent as she looked around, she didn't move from a place where an innocent woman felt the death of her sins.

The natural gemstone ring wrapped around the Persia ring finger, without the owner's will to force it anymore. The brief conversation of a foreign language knit a knot, screaming in Persia's ears with her sobs. The first time confirms the misery in Persia. Although she does not complicate every problem that arises in life, the sparkle of the diamond on her finger introduces Persia to Robert's mistakes and legal entanglements.

A few minutes later…

The pain and disbelief of this one day continue to be in the mind, Persia must accept that fate. She tried to find a way to immediately contact the family, but Persia failed because Robert's men were constantly watching. In a red luxury car, Persia supported her face with her hands looking at another car where the female victim was now wrapped in a coffin. 'I'm sorry, it was an accident.' Persia also felt the sadness of the invited guests.

From a distance, Robert probed Persia's face behind the car window. Persia shuddered with those beautiful golden eyes sharpened, really scary because Persia had never received such a gaze.

Once again Persia looked around and stared right at her Mercedes parked in front of the building. Then Persia wiped her tears again because the used car was the only thing left by her stepfather. 'This is not what I wanted father, forgive me Dae and mom. I have become a murderer'. Persia's mind was struggling after seeing a man who did not know Persian at all who was legally her husband.

Persia quickly moved away from the door panel as the sturdy body with the minty scent entered the car's body. With his mouth locked, Robert slammed his back violently and soon the wheels of Robert's car started turning to leave the wedding venue.

"Where are you taking me?" Persia should know that right away.

Quiet. Persia could only follow the street view from the window, once in a while Persian looked at Robert's face, who was silent and didn't even move a bit.

Persia thought that Robert would take him to the police station. But again she was reminded of the ring and a bond that happened a few minutes ago. Persia was again worried about the situation, which was actually very strange and impossible if Robert only demanded that she be a surrogate wife.

"Put me down!" suddenly Persia shouted.

Immediately Persia grabbed the car door handle but Robert swiftly grabbed Persian's arm. Then cornering Persia's body, he got angrier.

"Shut up, and don't waste my time!" said Robert, pressing Persia's wrist.

"Where are you taking me to? Forgive me, sir! I... I'm sorry and please don't take me to the police station!" asked Persia, crying again.

Robert liked the Persia part of the plea. This is an opportunity to avenge his wife's death. "Then where should I take you, Miss?"

Persia was getting scared when Robert's face was so close. Then Persia moved away from the breath that hit her eyelids.

"Sorry... I didn't mean, I... Not a murderer." Persia's breath hitched as he recalled the body of the woman who was lying down.

Robert tightened the grip on Persia's wrist. He felt he did not have to grant Persia's request. Yes, for what? The girl presumptuously took his wife's life. Although it was an accident, Robert did not want to know more about the reason from the mouth of Persia.

Robert had no more answers. He just signaled to his men, within seconds Robert received the liquid in a small bottle, and immediately Robert opened the lid and then managed to pour the medicinal liquid into the Persian's mouth without a hitch.

One minute Persia fought the effects of the substance that made him dizzy, then he could only wink as Robert drew closer to his face, so close that Persia could inhale the scent of tobacco marks from Robert's lips.

"Sleep and wake up to see my punishment." Robert tilted Persia's head so he could see the curve of Persia's smooth neck. "Sweet sinner."
