Reed didn't know how long he had been staring out the window. From where he stood, he could see smoke coming from the mountains. It looked like battles were going on. Reed turned a little when he heard a knock.
He shouted, "Come in!"
After a few seconds, he heard the door open. "Here, Reed; is there some food for you?" Eldron told the servant to put the tray on the already-there table.
After putting the food on the table, Eldron told the servant to leave the room, which he did right away. As the servant closed the door, Eldron went over to talk to Reed.
"Did you already eat?" Eldron said.
Reed went up to Eldron. "Have you heard anything about the elder yet?" Reed asked.
In just a few hours, it will have been 24 hours since he took his revenge on the elder mage and waited to see what would happen.
"I anticipate completing the task you requested later or tomorrow. Eat first." Eldron said.
