After parking their bicycles, Aneska and Laras went to the classroom which was already bustling with children's joking sounds.
"Hi, Aneska!" Called one of his friends, as soon as she and Laras entered the classroom.
Aneska looked left and right looking for the voice that called out to her.
"Here!" Someone shouted from the corner of the classroom while waving one hand.
Anes walked over to his friend. "What is it?" She asked.
"Have you done your schoolwork?" She asked with a serious face.
"It's a habit of always asking for cheats. Do it yourself! I wonder what's going on." Aneska returned to the front because his table was at the very front.
The person who had called her earlier hurriedly chased her forward. "Aneska, I haven't done any of my assignments yet." Immediately sat next to Aneska whose seat was empty.
"None of my business," answered Aneska curtly without looking at his friend.
Laras came and sat right next to them. "Seli! You always have the habit of never doing schoolwork. Every day when there is school work you always cheat. You get bored after a long time."
"I overslept last night. After dinner, my stomach was full so I was sleepy," answered Seli with an innocent face.
"The only reason isn't every time you have a job you always cheat." Laras raised one of his lips looking at Seli.
"You stingy!" She grumbled and immediately went to look for other children's targets to be asked to cheat on their assignments.
Laras immediately shifted his seat closer to Aneska. "Don't be too nice to the kids, you'll be used by them," Laras said.
"It's okay, but if it's too often I don't want to. Like Seli who cheats on assignments almost every day, over time I also don't want to. Later they won't know anything because they often cheat."
"That's what I mean. Let the children do their schoolwork," said Laras. "Don't be too nice to them!"
Not long after, the school bell rang as a sign of the start of lessons for the day.
The children who were sitting in groups immediately filled their seats when the teacher entered the class.
"Good Morning Kids!" Say hello. The teacher with a motherly face came in carrying some books in her hand.
"Morning Teacher!" Answer the children in unison.
"How was your day off yesterday? Did anyone go on a trip?" Teacher asked.
"There is ma'am, I am!" Answered one of the students sitting in the middle.
"O, Budi. Where are you going on a trip?" Asked Mrs. Teacher looking at Budi.
"To the fields, Mom, catch frogs," answered Budi, which was greeted with laughter from the other children.
Teacher smiled. "Why are you laughing? Budi also has a point, tourism doesn't have to be to a faraway place. Go look for frogs too, you could call it a tour."
"Teacher, swimming in the river can be considered tourism too?" Sally asked.
"Yes, did you swim in the river yesterday?" Teacher asked.
"Yes, Teacher, I swam in the river yesterday, does that mean I went on a trip yesterday too?" Sally asked.
"It means yesterday I traveled the farthest," said another. "I'm going on a plane."
"Is that true?" Asked the other child immediately looked in the direction of the speaker. "Where to?"
"To the moon! I went back and forth to the moon," replied the child.
"Is it possible to go back and forth to the moon? That's far away," asked one of the female students.
"Yes, I can go to the moon through a dream," he answered, ending with a laugh.
The other children immediately put on an annoyed expression. "Huh!! I can do that too then."
"All right, done. Why is it so noisy?" Reprimand Mrs. Teacher. "Now let's start the subject. Is there a school assignment that Mother gave?"
"No ma'am," answered some of the children.
"Then, we will continue the page that was delayed last week," said the Teacher.
The atmosphere in the classroom suddenly became quiet, all the children focused on paying attention to the teacher who was giving mathematics lessons very seriously.
It doesn't feel like time is running. It was late afternoon, signaling the end of school lessons. The school bell rang again, the children looked happy, the faces that looked tired now looked happy because it was time for them to go home.
"Aneska," Laras called who sat next to him. "Let's go home together again, okay?"
"You didn't go home with the other friends?" Asked Aneska turning to Laras.
"No! I'm lazy to go home with them," answered Laras.
"Okay then. I also don't bring a bicycle. I'm just happy to be invited to go home with you," replied Aneska.
"Then hurry up! Look the class is empty." Laras immediately left followed by Aneska from behind.
"Let me take the bike from the parking lot," said Aneska. "You just wait at the gate!"
"All right," Laras replied. They then separated to go in different directions.
After waiting for a few minutes, Aneska appeared by pedaling her bicycle towards Laras, who had her back to him.
"Get on!" Aneska said after the bike stopped.
Laras immediately went up, and sat in the back with his arms wrapped around Aneska's waist.
"Are you ready yet?!" Ask Aneska.
"Alright, let's go!" Laras replied from behind.
Aneska's bicycle slowly pedaled because of the cobblestone path they passed. Arriving at the paved highway, Aneska began to pedal a little faster because it was getting late in the afternoon.
The rural atmosphere that is far from traffic jams, does not make it difficult for them to be on the highway. Calm and safe, that's what Aneska and Laras feel when pedaling their bikes.
No one spoke the whole way. Aneska looks tired, as well as Laras who feels sleepy because of the light wind along the way.
Less than half an hour they had arrived at their destination. Aneska immediately stopped pedaling her bicycle and immediately got off. "We part here Laras. My house has to turn from here while you still have to go straight there."
"Yeah, my house is still far away. I'm too lazy to ride a bicycle," Laras grumbled, sitting in the front.
"You use a bicycle, I've been pedaling since earlier. Hurry home it's late! Poor your mother must have been waiting at home." Aneska asked Laras to come home immediately.
"Yes!" Laras then started to pedal his bicycle leaving Aneska who was still standing on the side of the road.
"Careful Laras!" Anes shouted.
Laras answered only by raising his hand without looking back.
After seeing Laras who was far from her sight, Aneska immediately went to her house where the lights had started to turn on.
"Mother!!" Call Aneska as soon as she set foot in the yard.
There is no answer, the house looks deserted and empty. "Where's Mother?" Murmured Aneska. "Very quiet."
Aneska entered the house through the back door because it was their habit to always enter through the back door.
"Mother!!" Called Aneska again but still no answer from her mother.
