Chapter 9 - Flashback

Chapter Nine (9). Flashback.

Right after the scream, the panicked male teacher hurriedly shut the door close.

He did not wait for the rest of the students he had sent outside to return. He was cowardly to the zombies that were preparing to attack them, without any hesitation he decided to leave the kids behind.

"No!"

Shouted one of the students outside. She and her companion were stunned. They were unhappy for the choice their teacher has chosen. They didn't wanna die. They knocked on the door glass before shifting to the windows.

"LET US IN!!!" Thumping on it endlessly as they cried.

"Hurry up and start the bus!" The teacher hushed his breath in large gulps before turning to the driver and ordered him in sovereignty.

Time was racing and those ugly monsters were nearing, the male teacher glared at the students outside who kept on punching the window and door, the noise was loud and zombies were sensitive to it!

"But the kids!" The driver reasoned. Both his feet left the pedals as sweat beaded in his forehead, "We can't just leave them behind. They're young people and unlike us oldies, they would have a chance to redeem hope for humankind!"

"Do you want to die?!" The teacher immediately shot a glare at him and refuted, "Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for that uncertain future? We're facing inhuman creatures with no weapons to counter attack. Okay, fine! Go out if you want to die!"

The bus driver immediately slammed his mouth shut. He lost his words. He pondered for a while and during his distraught, the students who were left out continued to knock on the door and window sill.

"Professor Dong, please let us in...hic "

"Hurry, open the door. We don't want to die, we want to live...bohooo!"

"Kyaaa!"

"Mister, please..."

"Forgive me kids." Said the bus driver as he shook his head in disagreement. "I can't bear..." He returned back to the front and started the bus. After pulling the liver and pressing on the pedals, the bus speed up and drove towards the other side of the street.

The two students who were left behind dazedly went after the hope that run away. It was just about time that the zombies shifted their focus to the new meal they set their eyes on.

""No...Help...!!!""

The zombies pounced on them and munched on their food with delight, the human flesh was torn and entered the zombie's broken jaw. They were like a bunch of tigers who caught a deer, and after eating till they had their utmost fill, they turned into vultures who pecked on the dead students.

Suddenly, a figure clad in black clothing appeared and went closer to the group of zombies. The four undead monsters had heightened hearing and smell, they quickly took notice of the slightly sluggish movements behind them and the smell of a similar companion.

"Ergh?"

"Awo?"

Their black marbles was deprived of radiance, and on the shiny surface left of the deceased eyes was a reflection of a woman with a vulturous figure.

Her hair strangled around her chest; her skin abnormally pale green in color; her eyes sluggish and filled with stiffness; the beauty clad in a nun's clothing was standing on the street before the group of zombies.

The details could be confirmed that she was one of them. There was even still a slightly fresh wound on her neck and on her chest. Without further ado, it was Zane. But she was no longer the Zane as a human, she was now an undead.

...

Emelia and Reo passed by the store they've went in last night. There was no one inside and the food in the shop was halfway blank.

Reo wanted to enter but stealing wasn't nice. Emelia purposely pushed him towards the door and attempted to get in, but Reo grabbed her hands before she could enter and he explained. "Emelia, we shouldn't."

Emelia raised her head and her exquisite face pursued a pout. "Why?" She questioned. She doesn't know the boundaries and laws of this world and only thought of today's chance to get more snacks.

Reo ruffled his hair and thought deeply. He seemed to hesitate for a while before entering the store and bringing out a large jar filled with lollipops and candies.

He raised it and asked his wife, "Are these good?"

Emelia looked at the snacks he had brought out and greeted him with a smile.

Reo instantly knew he was correct. He then took one, unwrapped it and placed it on Emelia's open mouth. "Only three per day." He stated before turning around and cleaning up the mess piled next to the wall of the store.

Emelia was glad and happy. She twirled the lollipop in her mouth and lowered her umbrella down. It happened to be that just as she placed it down, she heard a shrill scream coming from the northern side of the town.

"Reo-kun, Reo-kun." Emelia fluently raised her umbrella back to rest on her shoulder and nudged on her man. Reo also heard the scream and formerly thought of ignoring it, but Emelia continued to nudged at him and he was forced to comply to her wishes.

"I mustn't be mistaken, there'd be a nice show to watch there." Emelia explained and jumped into Reo's arms.

The ivory haired youth looked at the direction Emelia pointed and began to walk towards that place while he princess carried her.

"Emelia, are you really sure you would like to see it?" Reo asked as he raised his pace and glanced at his beloved raven haired wife sitting obediently in his embrace.

"Of course," Emelia replied. "I suppose that there'd be a worthwhile drama to watch and I believe that it would fit well with the description of Mobi you once told me about."

As she told Reo that, she remembered the scene from years ago on her fourth time meeting the wanted youth. Ransom was a criminal wanted by the entire world and they happened to met each other again during her stroll in the capital.

It was purely (not) coincidental that they passed each other's path and had to retort faking an excuse to escape the guards and heroes wanting to catch him.

She and her husband went to see the play in act of being a couple. They weren't dating yet at that time but it felt so enjoyable to Emelia. But it would be much better if they had watched the mobi (movie) Reo told her about.

Sitting in a place called Sinema (Cinema), eating popcorn while watching a romantic play in a large screen.

That would be wonderful!

Unfortunately, Demi didn't have any Sinema nor Mobi. But gladly, she had successfully come into her husband's home world and they would for certain see the so called romantic theater.

"But..." Reo hesitated to tell his wife that movie was not a real time play casted in pure sight. It was a show that was prerecorded and not live.

He didn't manage to complete his words as they have arrived at the designated place Emelia pointed out.

"Lets go up there." Emelia instructed and Reo followed.

He jumped and in a blink of an eye, appeared above a building.
