Chapter Fifteen (15). Responsible
Emelia believes that none other than her Reo, there should be nothing that can be hold as a weakness against her. However, destiny and fate may hold a somewhat seat in a part of her shortcomings.
Her face ashen as she found herself troubled from the appearance of the newcomer before her. The child's hand had almost touched her husband's finger, of course she would be mad, not to mention be angered by such audacity.
Hump. Emelia inhaled large gulps of air as she calmed her temper down. Her chest heaving as she sneakily pulled Reo behind her. "Help with what?" Emelia questioned as her eyes darted from the fair yet fragile lady to her beloved husband.
"I...um...I can help with the garbages, if there's more people to share the chores, it would be less complicated." Yuki posed herself and told Emelia a reason. After that, she lowered her head, her platinum blonde hair dangling from the rims of her forehead and onto her ears.
"But...If you don't want that...I ...Can do other things...."She continued.
Emelia closed her eyes and sighed. She then gave her umbrella to Yuki and sovereignly ordered, "Carry the umbrella for me and shelter me from the heat." Then, she paused and glanced at Reo before saying, "Also, put a great distance between you and my husband, I do not like others occupying his space and please do not ask unnecessary questions..."
Reo was shocked by how his wife dealt with her emotion. As far as he could remember, Emelia lacked the ability to smoothly manage her tempter, that of course, lead to countless of deaths of people who attempted to go near him.
He wiped his sweat and decided to ignore what Emelia had done. She may have failed to live up to the punishment, or perhaps she had forgot, but that wasn't of the upmost importance now.
"I guess I should forfeit from doing such labor." Reo interjected Emelia's speech and calmly took off his gloves and swiped the air. The heavy and full black garbage bag vanished while Yuki's eyes widened in amazement.
'An ability user—A space in top of that!' Gleamed her luscious bright olive colored eyes.
Such ability was proudly rare, mainly because of it's ambiguity on shifting space and time, a feat that was beyond. It wasn't as typical as enhancements nor elemental conjuring, space was another place, something that cannot be described fully.
Yuki stared at the couple before her, now she was certain they do indeed have a relationship.
She nodded her head and bowed in symbol of thanks and respect towards Emelia. "Believe me, I will never disobey!" These two are the only hope for her survival, many knew how hard it was to find a powerful team to attend to.
Emelia moved her gaze from her husband. Her eyelashes fluttering and shading her crimson red eyes with shadows. The hand she casually placed behind to hide her rolled fists was grabbed by his hand and the two were clasped together.
"Yes, good. Good. I'm glad you understand." Emelia raised her head and looked at Yuki with a much nicer gaze. "All you have to do is carry my umbrella, not to ask too many questions, and behave nicely. I promise you a good gift if you do well, and now...erm..."
Reo saw Emelia nuzzle towards his shoulder and hug his arm. He felt that this was truly a good reward for her. "I'll take today as an exception, you did well." After he said this, Reo curled his lips and rustled Emelia's raven hair.
"Ah, yes~ Thank you~" Emelia rubbed her head on her husband's shoulder and felt thankful for the very first time that a woman appeared and made her reconcile with her beloved.
Yuki let out a low laugh and awkwardly moved behind them. Trying to digest the dog food she was fed.
Reo took out two paper bags full of popcorn from his space. He handed one to Emelia, who, motioned Yuki to come near and gave the popcorn to her.
"For me?" Yuki asked, trying to confirm.
"Yes, for you. Now take a step back and put distance again." Emelia nonchalantly replied and shoo'd Yuki back to her position.
Yuki was not at all offended. She gleefully thanked Emelia and Reo before munching the popcorns with joy.
Meanwhile, as Emelia continued to rub her head on Reo's shoulder. Reo fed Emelia.
Suddenly, Reo paused his steps and Emelia turned to look at Yuki who was carefully and obediently following them.
"En?" Yuki hummed in question.
"Yuki," Emelia called out her name, catching Yuki in surprise. She never told them her name, yet.
"Yes?"
"By the way, do you perhaps know someone called John?"
When Yuki heard this name, she immediately found it familiar. Her movements ceased as well and she nodded her head hastily.....
_,_,,_,_,_,_,_,_,,_
"John!" A cheerful female voice called out, though behind its gleeful portrayal was worry and concern. The bearer of the voice belonged to a orange haired young lady, her large assets bouncing into the air as she jumped and hopped. Only to bring the blonde haired and handsome young man's attention to her, and it expectedly did well.
The blonde haired youth, John, turned around and looked at the lady. Although his gaze mostly stagnated at her chest area.
As he turned around, the veil carefully covering him were pulled, immediately showcasing a powerful aura that shouldn't belong to a young person with such questionable caliber or...thoughts...
"John, did you know? Last night, my friend vanished!" The lady lowered her head and her voice began to quiver with sadness. She pulled the hems of John's jacket and pressed her being against him.
"Grace, that's very unfortunate. May I know what happened before her disappearance? Maybe I can help." John pulled her into his embrace and thoughtfully asked her.
"I don't know much...but, I heard that her father got assaulted and killed. And a few people said that some powerful people wanted to preach her to become their mistress or lover. But I know her, she wouldn't accept that. Thus, in the morning, I heard she was kidnapped!"
After she spoke, another female voice came and asked "So you wish Lord John will help you find that girl friend of yours? Are you taking for granted his grace to help you search for a useless person like her?" The tone was filled with harshness and was cold.
"Zane, don't speak harshly. Grace is despaired from the lost of her friend." Followed, was another female voice. Much softer than the former two.
The curtains of the room was pulled open and two female figures went inside. The one who spoke last was a short, petite, lass. Then beside her was a tall figure, but unlike the other girls, her skin was pale and greenish.
Zane squinted her eyes and looked away. "I dislike those who troubles Lord... John."
