Two information were shown on the screen an can't help compare the two. Young Seven did not contain any missing dots, connecting this perfectly forming his structural spirit. You can say it was pretty complete. While Cross' on the other hand had blocked spots on some areas.

"why is General Cross' structure like that" he said and used the image shown in their terminal to point out the damage in which was reflected on the screen on the stage.
"this blockage are cause by spiritual energy spillage, or what we from the empire known as 'mental power degradation', to fully elaborate, look at the dots and the vein like lines connecting them."

This dot contains spiritual energy and they travel in full circulation just like a blood stream, it one of this dot were to be removed, the perfect rotation will be disrupted. The cause of this problem was due too energy exhaustion that accumulate from a long time or fully exploding your mental energy.
"I also found out that whenever we tried to break through from our ability system, we can remove this impurities, but will again return as we try to exhaust our energy."
"have you discovered anything aside from a breakthrough" the emperor added, mental degradation is what cause his father to die and most citizen in the empire, there long life span is useless if they can't are suffering from.
"there is, but this method I don't think we can do this.... Or at least not yet" he wasn't really sure of no other people can do it but so far the only person who did this was Seven.

"I do know that, but fortunately for me I was able to see someone do it, Seven have been training his mental energy this pass few days with me, and just as I thought, whenever we tried to use mental energy some impurities showed, but just was I about to stop him he expelled this, he told me he regulated his energy to remove it"
A few days back, Seven was practicing his control of mental energy, Maddox and Cross were there watching him. They told him it was important to control his power to prevent accidents not just to himself but for others. His control on his own energy were superb, but he did admit that his body with a 2S wouldn't be able to hold it out because it couldn't keep up.

His reach knowledge about energy and mental power he got from reading book made him understand how this happened.
"you can actually accumulate damage this early" Maddox and Cross and exclaimed but before they called someone for a treatment, Seven regulated his energy on the vein and expelled the impurities.
"how... What did you do" Maddox ask bewildered.
"oh I just expelled the it, you know like how I remove the impurities from those ingredients, well I do have to do this quite often if I take in energy from the the surroundings" he explained nonchalantly was about to continue when he saw the expression the two had.

"you can take energy from the surroundings?"

"because we were short on time, we couldn't gather more information, but basing from the concept Seven told us, we are taking energy from our surroundings unconsciously in order to re fill the energy on our spiritual structure without the need of taking a break."
Unfortunately the energy from the surroundings isn't entirely good, the impurities get accumulated damage their mental energy further.
" then does that mean we no longer take this energy, how will we know if it's impure"
"we still haven't found out how to know if an energy is impure but we do know that places rich in agriculture had more pure energy compare to the empire." he pressed a folder a a statistical chart show.
"this is the data we gather from every hospital in the empire, this chart shows the number affected by mental degradation, this place barely has any plant in them. Let's compare it to planet Vermont, the agriculture capital of the empire"
The Vermont people who suffered from this illness couldn't even reach 1/4 of the empire. What's more shocking was that the people recorded in Vermont were not local but from the capital city who moved from here to there.
"will you be able to finish this research Dr. Maddox" The emperor ask, he was excited to see that they might be able to find a better solution in treating this problem.
"I do apologize for that your majesty but my knowledge in auxiliary treatment is a bit lacking, so I presented this to the academy so they can try finding for a solution. At least now with this device they have more options to study, though if I were to suggest, I would think it's better to improve the food industry and promote agriculture" the people were saddened when they heard that Maddox wouldn't be working on this, but they really can't push it to him because he was more inclined in technology and Engineering.
"that's too bad, but if you ever find time can you assist the auxiliary team" the emperor sigh, it's not that he don't trust the abilities of the empire medical professionals but with Maddox, projects just seems to be 90% more successful.
