Adrenaline rushing through me numbed the pain in my leg, but I could still barely stand. I leaned on Alex for support as we watched in horror Delilah slowly making her way towards us through the field of magical lightning and electricity. Her fur and flesh kept burning to a crisp under Jam’s onslaught, but she kept regenerating almost instantly.
We were running out of options, and if this was just a small portion of the Moonstone’s power, then we were in for a really rough night. We hadn’t even begun to fight Amedis, but he was whittling us down with just Delilah, and pretty soon, we’d have no more cards to play.
Riley suddenly emerged from the ground behind Delilah and began to transmute the floor, making Delilah’s legs sink knee-deep into the thick stone floor. She was finally immobilized.
“Alex, cover your face and get back!” Riley yelled.
