Alex POV
I was waiting in a nice quiet nook of the cafeteria for Loren to arrive. I had managed to get the last burrito for her by buying it off a business savvy first-year who recognized the opportunity that supply and demand provided. I had successfully acquired a five dollar burrito for twenty dollars.
I really wanted Loren to see that I was committed to our relationship and that I was not the playboy that people made me out to be.
Did I go a bit overboard by paying four times as much for a burrito? Perhaps. Would a single burrito fix the stigma associated with my name? Probably not.
But it did feel good that I had kept my word and got her a burrito seeing that I did arrive first.
However, twenty minutes had passed since we were supposed to have met and Loren was nowhere to be seen.
I texted her but the messages had not even gone through, which meant that her phone had died or she was in a mana heavy zone which was disrupting the cell phone signal.
