Danica's POV
It was morning Oscar was still sleeping on me and I had gotten very little sleep. I moved slowly feeling the strange fullness and the sticking sensation. My phone was still in front of me. I grabbed it and began to scroll through my games then looked at my messages. There was one from Jenny. I opened it and smiled.
'Boys are in school and I finally told that mate of mine about the baby yesterday. Now he knows why I sent him shopping for baby clothes and made him set up a crib in the room next door.' I giggled.
'What did he think the crib was for?' I waited.
'Maggy. He thought it was for her to make it easier for us to look after her. Never occurred to him my last heat was actually successful. I can even see the bump begining.' I smiled.
'I'm taking this heat is a werewolf thing…' My phone began to ring.
"What's up?" she giggled.
"You don't go into heat twice a year?" I frowned.
"Nope." She sighed.
"Well, female werewolves usually go into heat where we become really… sexually aggressive. It's also the time with the highest chance of conceiving." I bobbed my head.
"Now I know…" she giggled.
"Why did you text me that strange message last night? Is something wrong?" I frowned.
"Someone was outside my cabin." There was a strange noise on the other end of the phone and Jenny yelled at Mathew as he made his escape.
"I think Mathew knows something about it but he won't talk to me about it. Anyway I was thinking we could do something today." I looked to my watch and nodded.
"Yeah, I have time before and after class. I'm doing it online."
"I forgot you have Uni… Wait don't you go to Bell Gate Global tech?"
"Yeah,"
"But Lisa goes there and she's on holiday." A silence fell over us.
"You should talk to Mathew about that… I already had this conversation with him…" I heard her growl through the phone.
"Will do, so want us to come over at breakfast or lunch?" She giggled. "Dean missed training. I assume he's with Bella at yours." I grinned.
"Yeah, he had quite the night." She laughed.
"Good because Mathew is going to kick his but when he finally answers the mind link."
"When's the next training session?" She sighed.
"Not until three." I nodded that was right after my classes. "The late training is at ten." I nodded.
"That sounds fun. I'll attend the training at three." She chuckled.
"I'll tell Mathew. See you for lunch?" I nodded.
"Sounds good." We hung up and I shifted but Oscar was still giving it heavy Zs. I looked around then heard a grunt as Oscar shifted and pushed deeper inside then began to purr.
"Dam it Oscar…" I whispered. "You fucking vibrating prick?" I could feel tingles, as intense as when he licked my wounds, throbbing inside my core. I stifled a moan with a pillow then tried to wake Oscar.
Derick's POV
Something was wrong. As soon as I awoke and went downstairs something had been off, there was a faint sent in the air and I had found small droplets of blood on the floor to the dungeons. I ventured down into the darkness and could hear nothing, but the scent of wolfbane and blood filled my nose. I knew Zack worked his talents here, but I didn't think anyone was down here.
Rounding a corner I saw the body of a wolf hanging by its arms from a wrake. I could tell that the man had taken a beating but the foam that had dried around his mouth gave away the signs of wolfbane poisoning.
"What the fuck?" I managed as my eyes opened in horror. This was one of the best warriors from my pack.
'Derick, get up here. I have some bad news.' It was my grandmother mind linking me. I turned to see Zack as he swung from a few chains imbedded into his skin. The man looked up slightly to me then gave a snort and a chuckle.
"Good times to come… there's another Alpha around here. And this one is strong..." He giggled as I left.
Alice sat in her bedroom with her hands clasped on her knees. I looked down as Mathew too was there seeming just as jumpy.
"Why was one of the pack dead in the dungeon?" I got straight to the point. Alice sighed.
"He was working for Stevens." I heard a snarl coming from Mathew. "After the incident with the girls I've been looking into the pack and have noticed a lot of new members that have been joining us. Most claiming to be rogue." She sighed. "The one in the dungeon was a mole sent here to analyze our capabilities. Zach is sending out false signals so his friends won't miss him for a few days but there could be more." She ran a hand over a small notebook. "These are the names of each wolf that had joined in the last five years." I took the book as she offered it and flicked through the pages.
"Names have been scored off." She nodded.
"A few passed away, others I've already checked out and found them genuine. You don't need to bother them." I nodded and worried my lip.
"What's this about another Alpha in the pack?" Alice frowned.
"I have no clue. Zach was out by Red spring cabins and smelt a powerful alpha in the area. He didn't have the aura to approach so left quickly." I nodded and Mathew grunted.
"I'll go out and see to this. Jenny is meeting Danica for lunch." He looked to me. "I'll mind link you when I know more." Alice nodded and let a sigh out.
"I'll continue to use Zach to find out about other traitors in the pack." I nodded and handed her back the notebook as Mathew cleared his throat.
"One more thing… I found out about the poison used on the girls…" We gathered around as he recalled everything he had been told by Doctor Richard.
We were speechless. Someone was going up and beyond to get at me. Murphy was beginning to twitch as I calmed myself.
"Speak of this to no one." I looked to Mathew and he nodded a stern expression on his face.
"I'll be off. Jenny is waiting for me." I nodded as he left then looked to my grandmother. She sat with a dark look on her face. "What do you think?" She growled.
"I'll investigate…" She turned away indicating she was done talking but I had a bad feeling about her line of thought. I gave a grunt and left her room making my way to the gym downstairs.
Danica's POV
An hour had passed before Oscar finally began to stir. Oscar whined and began purring again and I slapped him. He stopped purring and looked up with a snort. His tongue ran over my skin, and I waved a hand.
"I don't mean to rush you but could you get up now? I've been trapped needing to pee for an hour." He chuckled and moved then whined and pressed down. "What?"
'I'm kind of stuck…' I grabbed the towel from where it had been placed in preparation and raised my hips.
"Just pull out or transform then pull out." He whined then transformed and gritted his teeth.
"Gaah… fucking pubes…" He took a sharp breath and tugged. "Fuck, if I knew I was going to get a Brazilian I might have thought twice… or shaved first." He tugged again and I felt the sticky mass pulling away and the leaking begin. He sat up and staired in awe. "Wow." He breathed. A sigh of relief left my lips as the pressure on my bladder eased and I was able to sit up. My back cracked and I felt stiff.
"Dam sleeping with you on top like that hurts." I stretched then tried to get to my feet but my legs were like jelly and I sank to my knees.
"Are you all right?" Oscar grabbed me to stop me from sinking to the floor." I nodded.
"Yeah, it didn't help you were purring on and off for the past hour." He giggled and scooped me up into his arms as he brought me into the shower, and I sat on the little built-in ledge.
"Oops." He giggled, I turned the cold water on and he yelped and pulled back. "You bitch!" He glared at me.
"Oops." I smirked and flicked the hot water on.
With my core throbbing I carefully walked over to the windows and opened them letting in fresh air. the day seemed brighter. Oscar sprayed something around the room then stepped out into the hall. I frowned as I pulled on my hoody over my tank top and touched the scent blocker now back on my neck.
"What are you spraying?" He came back to the cabin and grinned.
"I swiped the scent neutralizer from the doctor." He sniffed. "Bloody brilliant." I sniffed and nodded. All I could smell now was the scents coming in from the windows and breakfast cooking downstairs. I began to set up my laptop and notes ready for my class. Later I wouldn't need to rush.
Once downstairs I stopped. Oscar sat in his wolf form looking annoyed as Bella fussed over him taking a look at his features. Dean sat next to him in the same predicament as she used him as a basis of comparison.
"Hey Danica look!" I came over and nodded as she pointed. "There's a stark difference in the shape of their wolves." With a nod I took a mug of coffee and sipped then looked up as the door opened and Jenny and Mathew came in.
"Oh my, hope we're not interrupting." Mathew giggled as he sniffed then frowned. "Got you two well trained." Oscar whined and looked to me with pleading eyes.
"What do you want me to do?" Mathew place Maggy and her baby carrier onto the island.
"Wow… you look very different…" He let his eyes fix on Oscar and he waved Jenny over. She took a coffee I handed her then frowned.
In wolf form Oscar was completely black from nose to tail. His fur was silkier than a wolf with a dazzling sheen that nearly glittered and his tail and legs were longer than normal. He had the strong broad shoulders of a wolf but his hips stuck out as he tapered in at the waist with the narrow hips of a cat. His wolf had a rounded face and long muzzle looking more fox like and his ears were rounded on top.
Bella reached out and looked at his teeth then shuddered.
"Fuck those look nasty." Mathew nodded.
"Why are your teeth so sharp? And your claws…" Oscar held up his paw and his ears went down as he flexed his claws like a cat.
"He… seems far more deadly than a normal wolf…" Jenny said as she placed Lilly to her highchair.
Oscar snarled as Bella began to poke at him and he stood up transforming.
"Cut it out! I said five minutes thirty minutes ago! Leave the freak be woman!" He pointed. "Pester him he's you mate." Oscar swanned off to the kitchen where his clothes were piled on the island.
"Why are you so different?" Oscar pulled his boxers on and narrowed his eyes as he looked to Mathew.
"My father was a wildcat-were." Mathew blinked then nodded.
"Hay it happened but don't turn those claws on me. They look deadly." Oscar shrugged.
"Don't give me a reason to." Mathew nodded.
"Point taken." I rolled my eyes and looked to Jenny.
"So did Mat fill you in on the Uni situation?" She nodded.
"And everything else you two have been sneaking around about." She sighed as Bella pulled open the oven and brought out little pies. Mathew took a seat as he got Maggy settled.
"So… did anyone notice anything odd last night?" He gave us a look. "I was told there was a stranger around here." I nodded.
"A strong werewolf was outside the door." Mathew nodded and sighed. Something seemed to be on his mind.
"I think we need to talk." Jenny started and looked to Oscar and Bella.
