The essence of the [Tai-Chi Theorem] was balance, and beyond balance was to counter; either by defense or by attack. It is to have control of a fight from start to finish, but ultimately it was just an augmentation technique. Since it was attribute less, one of the few techniques in existence to actually be like that, the [Tai-Chi Theorem] strengthened other cultivation methods by keeping both body and Qi in equilibrium. Of course eventually most people get tired of using it, since more often than not cultivation was all about sitting down in a single place and absorbing and cycling Qi through the body, and it becomes the most prevalent from the Qi condensation realm, where the gains of simple techniques like the [Tai-Chi Theorem] become limited if not none existent.
Divyat took a deep breath, the inner courtyard to his new domicile was peaceful, and as snow slowly cluttered down from the sky, bringing with it a chill that to normal people would have been downright debilitating, but to Divyat was extremely comfortable. His metamorphosis had made his body primed and ready for an onslaught of Qi, everything he has achieved so far has been consolidated, his foundation being a little bit more stronger than he'd expect. All of his unlocked meridians were now slowly beginning to take on diamond or crystal like hue, and not just the hue, Divyat could feel the meridians putting pressure on themselves as a coating hard as diamond began to grow from within and without, making his meridian ten times almost fifty times stronger than normal.
But by now his body was desperately starved for Qi, from further explanations and discussions he had with Cao Lin, the 'Rete Merabile' made it possible that normal food could sustain his need for Qi and Qi would sustain his need for food. But it wasn't a complete 1 to 1 ratio as food barely had enough Qi in it in the first place, not unless it was specially prepared. Nevertheless, the time was now as Divyat took the first stance, he swiftly moved to the second and then the third, running all the way up to the tenth when he felt it. But it was different, so very different.
He was expecting a trickle of Qi, but I stead what he received was an onslaught, his already activated meridians seemed to come alive, pulsing like beacons in the dark as they rapidly absorbed Qi, refined it and dispersed it, carving out new Qi channels in his body at an extremely fast rate. If Divyat were to measure the speed of cultivation now, as opposed to the first time, he would say his speed and efficiency has experienced not. 100% but rather a 1000% increase, with growth of well over a 100 times!
The last time he had cultivated, he had opened up 55 meridians, keeping him at the late foundation establishment stage. That was over a month ago, and since then even with the lack of active cultivation, somehow, 10 more meridians have been opened, bringing him right to 65. And that was well over halfway to peak foundation establishment stage. Now with active practice, it was like giving wings to a tiger as Divyat quickly moved through the stances of the [Tai-Chi Theorem] completing all 77 stances in an hour and opening a meridian for every 15 minutes he practiced.
Four meridians in an hour was a record, not his best, but the best he could achieve on his own without any sort of boost brought up by being surgically and mystically fused with the spirit root of a mortal god spirit or spirit god, or whatever the fuck the Winter Stag was… a dragon perhaps. Divyat started all over again, feeling small burns and strains from his body and muscles as they all seemed to be oscillating from the baptism of Qi they were currently receiving.
Divyat could not go any faster with his practice, for now he could only maintain the pace of 1 meridian per 15 minutes, and he could only practice the [Tai-Chi Theorem] for not longer than two hours adding 8 new meridians to his 65, bringing it all up to 73. It would be that much harder to advance now, perhaps next time he would only be able to get half as much Meridians open. The stronger he becomes the harder it is for him to advance, but be that as it may, he was still a lot faster than most people.
With passive cultivation, Divyat could take a break to consolidate his gains, his next cultivation session should be at the end of the week. By then his body should have gotten used to the new meridians and their boost to his overall combat ability. Which brought him to the next step of his training. Even with it snowing, Divyat had built up a light sweat from his cultivation, so he moved to a small table he had prepared prior to practicing and took a large swig of water from the jug he had placed there, and then he picked up the book he had also kept there.
[Rain Dancer Fist]
Unlike the first time Divyat had picked up this technique, the moment he touched it now, made it release a soft icy blue glow. It let loose a welcoming vibration too as a sign that Divyat had the attribute necessary to practice the technique. This technique was actually quite physically demanding, much like the [Heart Seeker] technique, this one also had three moves, each more devastating than the other. And all the moves went in transition from one to another, making it possible to chain the strikes and making this technique not just a fist technique, but a boxing one.
[Rain Dancer Fist; Lover's Rain] >>>> [Rain Dancer Fist: Clouds Sorrow] >>>> [Rain Dancer Fist: Midnight Monsoon]
With all of that established, the Rain Dancer fist would require him to be able to move his body quite well, and while he would have loved to train it in tandem with a movement technique, it would be better for him to narrow his focus, and master them all, one technique at a time. Besides until he gets a replacement now, he had to figure out other ways to defend himself, and not just defending himself. Whatever unfortunate nonsense he had just walked into, he knew without a doubt that he needed strength, if he was to escape this place and find his way back to humanity he needed strength. But before that he needed a quicker strength, it was the only kind of strength that mattered to him right now, and that was the strength; the strength to Survive.
