Chapter 15 - 015: Boss Fight

Divyat escaped by the skin of his teeth, barely rolling away in time as the bulk of the giant beast bat, smashed into the ground, a small wave of dark and turbid Qi rolling up into the air. His attempt at a role was pretty much rough as the arrows in his quiver were scattered all over the place. He still had the presence of mind to pick one up and stab it straight into the skull of the smaller beast bat that had it's fangs stuck into his body. He felt the beast convulse a bit in simple yet quick death throes, causing him even more pain as it's massive fangs slid out of his body, leaving two large holes behind, and Divyat's face ready for the bitch slap of a life time.

The Queen Beast Bat, swung her massive wing, creating a displacement of air in the process, as it smacked into the side of Divyat's face and body, sending him off his feet and over his head as he fumbled to the ground, rolling over himself until his stomach smashed into a large rock that happily, (or not at all) decided to arrest his momentums.

"Ooff!"

The air was driven out of his lungs even harder by this point, As Divyat quickly scrambled up to his feet. While he wanted to do nothing more than curl up and cry out in pain, his life was in danger and staying in one place would be a big mistake. And this was probably the only good decision Divyat has made for himself in recent memory. A beam of concealed Qi flew and smashed into the rock, sending debris and pieces of it flying every which way, and with enough force to even leave a few cuts behind. The Queen Beast bat jumped up, trying to use it's massive wings to catch on air and gain an aerial advantage. But it was way too large to do it as easily as smaller birds, and it was in the middle of a fight so it could not afford to put all of it's attention on flight.

Divyat went on the offensive, grabbing a rather small yet sturdy piece of rock from the ground. Most if not all of his arrows was strewn over the ground somewhere. [Heart-Seeker: One Breath Spike] it cost him some few precious seconds to get away, but this was a strike that Divyat knew he had to pull off if he was to even have a hope of escaping, much less defeating this massive beast that was right in the foundation establishment stage, and from the look and feel of things, either as the Mid or late stage. The rock flew through, smashing a hole through the eye of the Queen Beast bat, lodging itself in her skull.

*Scrererererererereeeeeeeeeee!*

Her screech of pain was an enhanced version of the Bats echolocation ability, Divyat felt blood vessels burst in his ears, as pain and an intense ringing overcame him, causing him to feel an intense sense of vertigo. He stumbled, shaking his head in the process as he tried to regain a measure of control over his motor functions. But in cases like this, the beast you're facing would either run away from you in response to it's pain, or it could be a somewhat advanced living organism with a significant amount of cultivation and in turn intelligence. All it would feel was rage and it would respond to any injury received in kind and in form or something like that.

The Queen Beast bat slammed both wings together, creating a draft of wind that smashed Divyat backwards, throwing him into the air as he flew in an arc to smash his back against the ravine wall. He felt his ribs crack, if not break as internal organs were either bruised or perforate from his broken bones stabbing inwards, it was a lot of pain to be felt at this very moment, and frankly speaking, Divyat can confidently say, that even with all of the unfortunate excitement and events of the past week, he has never been this injured in his life. He coughed, his chest burning and tightening with pain in the process, as he struggled back up to his feet.

If he was not a cultivator he would already be dead, heck even if he was a cultivator; if it wasn't for the boost to his physical capabilities by becoming one with the Winter Stag, it would not have mattered if he was even at the peak of foundation establishment, he would be already dead, or with worse Injuries than this. But that said, he was not out of the woods yet as the Queen Beast Bat reared up, about to slams her wings together again and bring an end to this fight and to Divyat, truly he might have bit off more than he could possibly chew this time around.

But before that could be his reality, the Giant Bat stumbled to the side, Divyat had good enough eye sight to notice the wisp of icy fog escaping from the hole that was Formerly it's right eyeball. It seems even the bat was not impervious to the power of Divyat's Qi, and right now with it's insides slowly getting frozen, it bought time for Divyat to pick himself up and run a little bit further into the Ravine, sidestepping the staggering form of the giant bat, and getting just enough time to dive down and pick up one of his arrows from the ground. The arrow itself had seen better days, but Divyat's constant usage of it had chipped and worn the metal down, but even then it didn't matter as it was more than sturdy enough to do what's required of it.

Divyat knocked the arrow and turned with anger and rage in his eyes, blood covering his dark hair, which was quickly turning an icy bluish white from usage of his Qi. All of his already opened meridians seemed to expand a bit as they gave up all the Qi contained within, letting Divyat's intent shape it and channel it, changing nature and using it's energy to grant power to the weapon in his hands. He took a deep breath and looked up, locking eyes with the Queen Beast Bat, just as she regained control and was about to go through with her devastating attack.

"Eat this motherfucker!"
