1 year has passed since then, 2 unidentified individuals were thought to be involved in some way in the destruction of the country of Germany. However, this was conceived to be absurd, and the news reports constituted that the causes of such massive destruction were either consecutive failures of their nuclear power plants, an indirect attack from another country, a meteor strike, or all of them happening at once. Nevertheless, the number of casualties from this event was massive, considered to be one of the most tragic events to ever happen in the history of man. The casualties were millions with the general population of the people of Germany being reduced by 98.5%. The magnitude of the earthquakes was so massive, that they affected neighboring countries from afar. It was interpreted that the magnitude may have been 10, a record-breaking feat overtaking the last one by 0.5, but this may be wrong since seismologists who are investigating the matter, are further analyzing...
Amidst these disasters lay a 15-year old young woman who recently moved out of her home country, Italy. Her name was Lelia Dafne Abbiati. She and her father moved out mostly because their house was nothing but gone. There were more underlying causes for the abrupt migration, however, her father did not relay them to her. They moved out to a country far from the majorly impacted countries, Japan. Thus, the tale of a certain person begins. She is currently walking to her new school.
She sighs, "Gosh, where is it?"
She looks around her surroundings and spots nearby, a high school.
"Oh, so that's where it is," she exclaimed.
Happily running towards her new place to study, she suddenly uttered a few words, "April 4, 2089, the day where my new life begins!"
Finally reaching the place, she peers over at the students slowly walking and entering the gates. Her heart was racing, gently touching her chest with her palm, her beat slows down.
The thoughts in her mind are, "Calm down, you practiced for this, just remember your lines, remember the right words, you got this! You stayed up all night trying out the different dialects of Japanese."
She then grovels over her failure to do so, "I could only do the standard though."
"Alright!" she slaps her two cheeks with her hands, "Time to go in!"
At last, heads into it but when she tried to enter the gate, she heard a thud behind her back.
"ACK!" the sound of a young boy is heard.
She looks behind to see, a young boy who slipped not out of any object, but his own misstep.
"Stai bene? (Are you all right?)" she asked him.
She covers her mouth noticing she spoke in the wrong language. Clearing her throat once more, she speaks again but in the Japanese language of the country, "Are you okay?" while reaching out her hand.
Note: Whenever they would be speaking Japanese, I would just write it in English, so that there are fewer translations, also because of the fact that they were in Japan.
"Ah, yes yes," he reaches for her hand, "thank yo-" but he slips and hits his head on the ground again.
"Just my luck. What a great first impression," he said with a disappointed face. He simply decided it was best for him to stand on his own and he did.
"Sorry for that," he said.
"No worries," she said calmly with a nervous smile.
"I might as well introduce myself," he grunts, "my name is Morikawa Osamu, but you can call me Morikawa-kun."
"M-My name is Lelia Abbiati. Nice to meet you."
"Huh? Kun? What's that?" she wondered in her mind not knowing it was an honorific.
"Is Morikawa your first name or..."
"It's my last name." he pauses a bit, "Are you perhaps a foreigner? I judged by the way you spoke earlier."
"Y-Yes, I am! I'm an Italian."
"Woah, an Italian," he was in shock, "It's the first time I've ever encountered a foreigner."
"Oh, really?"
"Hm? I like talking to him and all but I feel like I'm forgetting something very important," she dug through her own mind trying to remember.
The bell rings from within the school. It signifies the start of a class.
"SCHOOL!" she shouted as she ran towards the building.
"JUST MY LUCK!" he followed her as she ran through.
Both of the run through the hallway and go up the stairs as fast as they could. But Osamu trips down and falls.
"GAH!"
He hits his head on the wall.
"Ow."
"Lelia goes down the stairs to try and help him, "I'll help you!"
He goes for her hand and as he tried to stand up, he suddenly slips and they both fall down another set of stairs, luckily not hitting anything vital.
"This is gonna be a long day," Osamu thought.
They arrive in the same classroom, Lelia opens the door to show that both of them had rustled and dirty clothes, not only that, they were late.
"We were in the same classroom," both of them murmured.
"What took you two so long? The introductions are about to begin," the teacher questioned.
Osamu was in low spirits so he had no intention of answering but Lelia answered in his stead, "We both tripped down the stairs."
He looks at their clothes and believed their alibi.
"Is that so? Make sure to have a change of clothes then later on. Well, then choose your seats, and let's finally start. We have a long day ahead of us."
They both sit down at random positions.
"As usual during these times, we usually introduce ourselves, so get on with it, who wants to go first?"
Someone raises their hand, he then stands up and faces the rest of the students.
"My name is Satou Hayate, I'm fine with all of you calling me with either part of my name but I'd like you all to call me... Sate-kun, from さ (sa) and て(te), meaning 'now'."
He sits down after the bold introduction.
"Anyone next?"
"ACHOO!" Osamu sneezed.
The teacher looks at him instead, "How about you?"
He sighs, "Seriously?"
...
..
.
He stands up and faces the class to begin his introduction, "My name is Morikawa Osamu, you can just call me Morikawa-san."
With nothing more to say, he awkwardly sits back down and looks at his desk.
Another boy raises his hand, "My name is Mizushima Nobutoshi."
And then another, "My name is Ito Hirohito."
Until Lelia finally raises her hand and stands up, "My name is Lelia Abbiati, I'm from Italy. Please take good care of me!"
Suddenly, the uncaring eyes of the class suddenly shifted their gaze unto her. Upon noticing, she sweats nervously and excuses herself to the bathroom.
From the sink, she opens the faucet and splashes it unto her face.
"Alright! Good progress so far! I think I stood out a little, though."
Behind her, there was a flush to be heard. She looked behind to see the three stalls clearly open. No one was using them earlier. Her look suddenly became stern. She approached the stall with the flushing toilet with caution. Then suddenly...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
A large shout is heard though so inhumane it was more of a screech that came from an unknown origin permeating throughout the toilet.
She closed her ears trying to protect herself from the unnervingly painful sound. But then it came to a halt when the glass in front of the faucet cracked.
She was dumbfounded.
"What. W-What just happened? I-I'm not imagining things am I?"
A soft chuckle is heard, "My love..."
Not knowing what to do, she looks in the mirror to see an unnatural smile beside her, though other than those, nothing else was distinguishable.
"Not another one."
She looks behind and nothing was there.
"W-What?"
She was someone who could see the supernatural from what was seen.
