Jazmin enters her bedroom. Heading straight to her closet to pick out her outfit for the day. As an alpha's daughter, there are certain criteria you must withhold. She represents her pack. With that, she must leave good impressions. She's never been snotty like other alpha daughters. Attitude is a big deal for leaving a good impression.
She dresses up at any opportunity to encourage a lasting impression, plus dressing up is her favorite thing to do when she can. Jazmin always paid attention to important details of being an alpha's daughter. She was trained for being the perfect Luna. Once her outfit is taken care of, she goes to the bathroom and lays out a fresh towel.
Turning on the hot water. She quickly undresses as the water heats up. Jazmin steps into the shower. She allows the hot water helps relax her tight muscles. Relieving her of any stress. Quickly washing and conditioning her hair, removing all tangles. She then works on shaving her legs. Once all is done, she then finishes up with washing her body.
Jazmin shuts off the water after a thorough rinse. Feeling refreshed and energized. She steps out of the shower and drys off quickly. Walking over to her bed, she drops her towel on the bed to start dressing. She picked out a light blue summer dress, and white sandals. Jazmin dresses quickly, then lightly applies makeup. She heads out the bedroom to meet with Claire in her room. Jazmin knocks on Claire's door. Claire opens the door, revealing that she picked out a red summer dress and a pair of black sandals.
"Ready to go?" Jazmin asks Claire.
"Absolutely, let's go." Claire says with a smile and a pep in her step.
They make their way to the mall, talking about pack gossip. Being the Alpha's daughter comes with perks and downfalls. One of those downfalls was the spoiled brats of the pack. Lana and her gang of friends would cause a scene whenever the chance arose. They accidentally bumped into them before they realized who was walking in their direction.
"Hey, watch it, freak!" Lana yells.
"Look, it's the ugly ducks." Lana's friend Cherry yells.
"The only ugly ducks are you!" Claire barks back. Growing annoyed, Jazmin growls, getting their attention.
Lana and her friends laugh, "Aww, do you think you're some big bad wolf! That's cute!" They continue laughing until Jazmin's fist connects with Lana's jaw. Her friends gasp in surprise.
"How dare you hit me!" Lana screams. "Who do you think you are! You can't hit me, and you're nobody!" With rage and shock in her eyes, Jazmin punches her again. This time with more alpha force. She falls to the ground.
"Stay down, or I will just hit you again, Lana!" Jazmin declares, making sure she's heard. People start to stop and chatter about what is unfolding in front of them in the streets.
Some cheer her on, while others find my behavior disgraceful. As an Alpha's daughter, she needs to prove she has what it takes to keep a pack in line by any means necessary. Jack, the Beta of the pack, jogs over.
"What's going on here, Jazmin?" Jack asked with concern.
"Nothing, just putting Lana in her place," she comments with authority, looking at Lana.
"Very well then, but I must report this to the Alpha." Jack sighs.
"What. Why?" She was confused about why he would report to her father on this. "Alpha wants to know all trouble made between pack members. Especially when it comes to your safety, Jazmin." Jack raises his voice as if he's her dad.
'What's going on, Jazmin?' her father asks in mind link. Frustrated with this whole day, what else could go wrong. 'Lana and her friends are what happened.' overly annoyed now. 'Stay put. I'm coming to you.' he yells.
Jazmin groaned out loud, catching Jack's attention. "Your father is coming here, isn't he?" rolling her eyes in disbelief, "Unfortunately, he is."
Moments later, her father appears behind them. "How did this start?" He startles us, as we don't notice his presence.
"Dad, it's nothing. Lana and her brats started a fight because we accidentally bumped into them," she growls, annoyed.
"Did you just growl at me?" her father asks.
Looking directly at her dad and proudly says, "No." She was growling at Lana.
"If it weren't for her drama, we wouldn't be still standing here," Jazmin says as her father clears his throat.
"Lana, do you have a problem with my daughter?" He asked, growling, looking her in her eyes, and making Lana submit.
"No, Alpha. I didn't know she was your daughter." He growls again, this time as a warning.
"Lana, this isn't the first time you've caused problems with my daughter. How dare you have the audacity to lie about it."
Lana and her friends begin to tremble with fear towards the Alpha.
"I… I promise I won't cause problems with her anymore, Alpha." She pleads with him.
"I better not hear of another incident with my daughter. Consider it your last chance, Lana. Next time, I will kick you out of the pack for the chaos you cause." Jazmin's dad says.
His alpha aura is leaking, making them fall to their knees. "Get out of my sight before I change my mind." He growls.
Lana and her friends scurry off, fast as their heels allow them. She was turning her attention toward her dad and Beta Jack.
"I'm sorry, dad. We should have paid attention to where we were going." Jazmin sighs. "No, honey, this isn't your fault. Girls like that can't help themselves." He gives a soft smile.
"Jazmin, can we get going to the mall now?" Claire asks.
"The mall?" her dad asks. "Yes, we're going to the mall for birthday shopping," she excitedly.
"Enjoy your time, honey. Kindly let us know if you need anything." her dad and Beta Jack start walking to the pack office.
"Well, now that the drama is over, we can continue our day as planned." With a smile on her face. "Why are you smiling, Jazmin?" Claire questions her intentions.
"I feel relieved currently," she admitted. "Relieved about what exactly?" Claire raises an eyebrow in wonder.
"I just realized that if I find my mate, I'll be able to leave the pack and not worry about bullies like Lana anymore." she laughed.
"Oh, so now you want to use a mate for a reason to leave?" Claire lightly punches Jazmin's arm with a giggle.
She sighs, "I'll have to face the truth regardless, Claire. There is no running from it." Claire nods in agreement.
"True, but don't be so glumly about finding a mate and leaving. Think of all the great possibilities that come out of it." She's back to persuading her on the idea. Claire believes in mates and finding your true mate, made by the Moon Goddess.
"Are you excited to find your mate? We haven't talked about if you want to or how you feel about it?" she asked. "I'm super excited, but I want to avoid annoying you with it." Too late already has.
Claire dragged Jazmin into as many stores as she could handle and tried on numerous dresses, high heels, and jewelry. She even revamped her makeup collection. She's not the greatest at applying makeup. Claire has helped teach her. Not only that, but she couldn't believe that they had been out shopping for over 5 hours. Once they arrived back at the packhouse, she found her mom in the kitchen making dinner.
"Mmm, that smells wonderful." She turns around, "Dinner will be soon, have a seat." she does as told. "How did your day at the mall go?" She asks.
"Claire decided we had to go and try on practically everything in each store." sighing, finally relaxing in her chair.
Her brother and father walk into the kitchen, "Hey, there's my little sister." Derek grabs a seat next to her.
"Dad invited all neighboring packs for your birthday party tomorrow." Derek says.
She gasped in shock at what her brother confessed. "Seriously?" she looked at her father, "Why would you do that?" Jazmin says. Derek laughs at her question.
"I invited them to come, so you can find your mate sooner rather than later." Her dad explains.
"Dad, I'm uncertain if I'm ready to find my mate that fast," she admits to him.
Considering that she literally only becomes an adult, tomorrow. She wants to experience life as an adult first, or at least long as she can before the time of finding her mate comes. Her dad would never understand her logic in mates. But still her family gasp at her in shock by her truth.
"Why do I feel like I don't have a choice in this? I feel like I'm rushing my choices in my life." Jazmin says to her father.
"You still have a choice Jazmin, we support you one hundred percent. But remember rejecting a mate never ends well for either mate, unless you find a second chance mate which is very rare." Her dad explains.
"I understand, but I just don't feel ready to take on being someone's mate just yet." Jazmin says.
