Chapter 29 - Chapter 7: Crossing paths with an unset fate.

Kingsley looked over Valerie's shoulder and saw a familiar figure he had seen Nikita with several times. Ezra. He dropped his arm from Val's shoulder and walked towards the man who signalled him aside.

They walked for a little distance until Ezra stopped and faced him, on an empty road in the city. He smiled up at Kingsley. Kingsley heard a voice in his head saying hello. He looked up at Ezra whose lips hadn't even moved. His heartbeat sped up and he took a step back the same voice in his head asked him how he was and not to be afraid because he couldn't hurt a human so important to Nikita.

"We can communicate like this?" Kingsley asked and Ezra smiled again and nodded his head, telling him it was safer this way because what he was doing was illegal.

"How is she, Ezra?" Kingsley asked and his smile quickly disintegrated. Ezra's voice started to explain how she was about to have her coronation and he hasn't seen her face to face since she returned, no one else has either. She won't follow her father's orders as requested and he had one last resort to have her talking again.

"What does that have to do with me?" Ezra said that he had everything to do with him because Nikita had found the one thing their kind had been looking for for millennia and that he was what they had been looking for.

At this point, Kingsley was deeply confused and before he could reply, Ezra told him to lift his shirt. Kingsley remained speechless and looked stupidly at Ezra while covering his chest. Ezra laughed and told him to lift his shirt and he had no ulterior motive that he thought he had.

After much reluctance, he did as he was told and Ezra stared at the tattoo that ran along his side and on his back. Kingsley stared at him as he examined him in surprise. Ezra gasped and asked him how long he had had the markings.

"It started small when he was younger but never really paid much attention to it. What does it mean?" Kingsley asked and Ezra smiled joyfully telling him, that it was what was going to help him see Nikita again.

"I don't understand she's in another realm." Ezra laughed again and then told him that he belonged there with her. Ezra also told him that it was a good thing he had fallen in love with her and that the ritual would remain to be smooth and less vibrant.

"English please," Kingsley said as he put his shirt back on.

"You are one of us, Kingsley. You are the other half of the moon god. You bear the blood of royalty in you. You are to rule the sun temple with Nikita. Welcome back home, your majesty." Ezra said and dropped to one knee, with his palm on his heart. Kingsley's confusion grew even deeper as he watched Ezra bow to him. But to be with Nikita again? He was willing to take that risk. Ezra rose finally and asked him to meet him at nightfall by the forest behind his penthouse.

"I don't know what you're talking about I am not what you think I am," Kingsley said, but Ezra was already gone, disappearing into thin air. Standing alone in the middle of an empty street, Nikita's face popped into his mind. The mysterious girl who he had grown so fond of he had grown to love. And now that he had been given a second chance with her, he wasn't going to lose her again.

Ivy stared at him as he told her the rest of the story, and then she wiped away the tears that had been streaming down her face. Her reaction infuriated Kingsley as he glared at her.

"You knew Ivy. About mom and dad, about me." He said and she shook her head that was in her palms now, and she continued to cry as he patted her back softly. Her weeping went on and on as Nikita looked over at him from the window frame and she looked away. She was considerate not to have him comforting two women.

"Mom and dad weren't like that and I wasn't either. They told me that you were special compared to others. I thought it was because of the fact you had mild auticity when you were younger. I never knew it was because of this."

" I'm glad that you supported me when we were kids. I owe you everything, I couldn't have asked for a better sister, friend and another half. I love you so much, Ivy. Thank you for everything, for letting me fit into a world that never even wanted me." Ivy began to cry again and he hugged her in his arms as she wept on his shoulder.

"What...happened when that man told you to go with him." She asked quietly on his shoulder. Nikita smiled from over her shoulder and he winked at her.

"Some crazy shit, really crazy shit Ivy."
