I exhaled deeply, and then I spoke. "First, he told me that your ancestors hate vampires."
Her face changed the moment that I made the declaration. It confirmed that she knew exactly what I was talking about.
"First, I just want to understand something." She said.
"What do you want to know?" I asked.
"Why were the both of you talking about me? Did you not have anything else to talk about?" She wondered aloud.
I quickly deflected her obvious attempt to avoid the discussion.
"You came up," I responded. "And, if I have answered your question, I would like to continue with mine."
She exhaled deeply and then answered. "You can continue your query."
