Iris and I went back to the part of the forest where we abandoned our horses and retrieved them. I dragged Kara's own alongside mine while she did the same with Derek's own
Aurora and her people were already returning to their settlement when we got back there. On their shoulders and in their arms were the bodies of their murdered Folk.
We returned to their settlement with them, and by the time we reached there, it was already nightfall. The settlement was covered by a thick layer of Forest that made it impossible for whoever was unaware that it was there to find it.
Aurora's settlement was not anything like I imagined. They built house-like structures out of bamboo wood and called them their homes. It was expected since they lived in the middle of the forest. There was a bed on the floor that the previous occupants of the house used.
