The speed he used to reply made me start laughing. Sounds of my laughter echoed through the forest.
"Your men would be fine. And if they are not right now, they would be eventually." I replied.
"I guess so." He said, shaking his head.
We continued to stroll forward until we found a camp. A couple of horses were tied to trees, and clothes hung on twine.
"We would move much faster if we got horses," I suggested.
"Yes." He agreed. "We should talk to the people in this camp and see if we can come to some arrangement.
"We do not have time. We should take them and go." I replied.
"We have not even asked," Derek said.
"And you think they would willingly give up their horses to two strangers," I asked.
"And why not?" Derek answered. "People are good. We never give them a chance."
"A chance to prove you wrong?"
He laughed. "I have some silver with me; we would be able to come to some sort of arrangement."
