The breeze picked up. I sat down opposite Derek quietly. So far, it felt like I had finally got a way to control my hunger. I felt the burning desire in my stomach, but I could ignore it. Right now, it was just like a dull ache that stabbed once in a while.
It took a lot more time than I thought to have the hunger under control, and plenty of people died in the process. The only thing that I could do to make sure that their sacrifice was not in vain was to keep the hunger under wraps.
Make sure that more people do not die because of their blood. And Derek had answered an age-long question that I had in the back of my mind since I came back from the dead. I did not know how I would win Floki and Bjorn back to my side.
