IRIS.
The sun came down much sooner than I wanted; it was time for me to escape. I changed into my housedress, put on some comfortable clothes, and slid the knife behind me. Its sharp edges cut me slightly, so I wrapped it in a piece of cloth to protect my back.
It reduced the speed of bringing out the knife when I needed it. But it was better than stabbing me with it. I opened the door, and the guard outside was surprised I was speaking to him. "I want to take a stroll."
He stammered before he answered me. "You are not allowed to walk around unsupervised."
"I did not ask to walk around unsupervised. Are you not a guard? Cant, you escort me?"
"I can. I was letting you know."
