Marius sensed my anger and did not say anything else. He stood up and threw his shirt over his shoulders. "Do you want to go back now?" He asked.
I shook my head. "No. I am not. I am enjoying the breeze here, and it is refreshing."
"I see." Marius sat back down on the floor. "You were complaining about the tree not providing a cover. I assumed that you did not want to be here."
"I have changed my mind," I replied.
"A part of me is tempted to believe you and return you to Andor." He said.
"Then, why have you not?" I asked.
He scratched his damp hair. "I do not know. Hope maybe."
I scoffed. We both knew that the reason he did not lose hope and was willing to keep me around at all costs was because of his trump card. He could hypnotize me at any time. And I was tired of pretending not to know about his ability. He was milking away every form of sympathy from me, knowing that I did not stand a chance against him.
