Chapter 29 - Madness

Suddenly, before I was able to ask or say anything, Luke's phone vibrated in his pocket, making both of us flinch from the unexpectedness. He quickly took the phone out and answered the call. I heard the voice of his partner, the second waiter that was left in the dining room. I wonder why he called Luke if he knew he was here with me? Did anything happen?

"Yes, Lewis," Luke finally said his name and looked apologizing at me. I smiled, meaning there's nothing wrong here.

"Hey, Luke, there's something wrong here. That young Markus's brother is behaving strangely. He's wandering on the first floor and looking for Lady Aurora. Screaming her name and demanding her to go meet him," Lewis said, and being close to Luke, I heard his words. And I can't say I wasn't surprised. What does George need from me?

"Okay, I'll tell Lady Aurora. Try to calm him down to not bother Mr. Markus," Luke broke the call and looked at me, and seeing my expression that I heard everything, just asked, "Should we go there?"

"Sure, let's see what he requires," I said, then turned around and went back to the mansion. The clicking sound of my stilettos was heard up the marble staircase, then the guard opened a door for me. I stopped, gave Luke an empty cup, and turned to the guards, "Kristof and Mallory returned?"

"Yeah, they were doing some… private business," the guard cleared his throat for no need, giving me a hint of what exactly those two were doing. Well, no wonder. I thought they were lovers from the time I've seen their expressions there in the dining room. I sighed.

"What about Markus's brother?" I arched an eyebrow when I haven't seen him on the first floor. Maybe he gave up looking for me and retreated?

"We closed him in the dining room, as he was screaming loudly, calling you. Mr. Malone shouldn't be interrupted at any meeting," said the guard, and looked at the smartwatch on his right wrist, looking for something.

"Are they still talking?" I asked and headed to the dining room when they answered on my back.

"Yes, lady Aurora."

I knocked at the door of the dining room and turned my head to look for Luke. He wasn't seen, so perhaps he went to clean my cup. I heard the clicking sound of the key in the lock, and the door opened from another side.

"Ah, Lady Aurora. He's there, in the storeroom," he pointed at the door on the other side of the dining room, where I headed, "It was the safest place to keep him."

"Fine," I took the door handle with my hand, turned it, then opened the door and got inside, when I immediately felt someone's hand on my waist.

"George?" I asked, then shook the hand out of my waist. It was so dark here that I could barely see my own nose.

{Why is it so dark here?}

The hand laid on my waist, then pressed me to the door with my back, moved from my waist straight to my breast, and rest there. I heard a silent moan and the voice didn't remind me of Markus's, so I immediately tried to get the hand away from my chest. However, both of my hands were caught by a strong male hand and pressed over my head. Then, some cold lips touched me, kissing me hungrily. It wasn't Markus!

"George, what the hell are you doing?!" I screamed at his mouth when I felt his knee trying to slip between my knees. I squeezed my legs, not letting him do what he wanted, and tried to free my hands.

"You don't let me have you of your own will? Ah, what a pity. Then I'll take you with force!" he bit my lower lip with his fangs, and blood flow down my face and neck, then straight to my breasts. At the very same moment, I understood why he was looking for me. And, I can't allow him to do what he wants! Markus is the only one who can have me and my body, and this stupid boy isn't Markus and will never be.

Suddenly, a flow of anger and power boiled in my veins, and before I was able to think carefully, say or do something, I felt my invisible shield recoiling from my body and making some kind of bubble. In a second, the bubble blew and both of us were thrown to the opposite sides. The power of the bubble was so strong, that the door cracked behind my back, and I was thrown with the door to the center of the dining room. I don't know where George was, but I immediately stood on my legs and ran to the door.

"Lady Aurora, what happened?" I saw at the door Lewis and Luke, who looked with their wide-opened eyes at me. They both ran to me, but before I was able to reach them or say anything, my hand was caught, and I was thrown to the other side of the dining room. My head slammed to the wall and the smell of the fresh blood caught my nose. I moaned from pain, the world started spinning around me and everything was blurry.

"Don't touch her!" I heard someone scream, but my spinning head wasn't able to identify the owner of the voice. I tried to stand up but failed, then heard the loud vampire roar and sound of something breaking, either the dish or the chair. After those sounds, I heard the doors open and a lot of steps were echoing in the dining room. I supposed the guards came hearing the noise.

"What's going on here?"

"Hey, boy, you lost your mind? How dare you touch our lady!"

I opened my eyes, trying to understand what was going on. My head was still spinning, and everything was too blurry, but I could differentiate silhouettes and see that five or six vampires took George in a circle.

"Lady Aurora!" I heard someone calling my name, and one more silhouette squatted down near me, then touched my head, "Ouch, you're bleeding. Don't worry, I have the first aid kit!"

"Don't touch her! I haven't finished with her!" that was definitely George's voice, and I heard some loud noises, like vampire roaring, dishes and chairs breaking, then some steps coming closer to me. The silhouette was spinning in my eyes, but I squeezed my hands into my fists, trying to defend myself. When that silhouette grabbed Luke that was trying to stop my head from bleeding, and threw him away, I understood it was George and begged my shield to help me again.

"Come here, you little b*tch!" He grabbed my leg and pulled me closer to himself, and I was able to see his chest not far away from me. His cold hands started putting up the skirt of my dress, and that was the right moment to stop him.

I pressed my hands to his chest, instinctively making a push. Then felt how my shield recoiled from my body again and gathered in my hands. The same bubble appeared in a second, blew out, and pushed George away from me. I heard him falling to the dinner table and crashing it.

When I pressed my head to the floor, I made a deep breath and screamed Markus's name loudly. I wished he could hear me, come and save me again.

~Markus~

We were talking for about an hour, touching on different themes from her and my side. Discussing so many things helped us to understand what was the problem in our relationships. I was mad at her for betraying my father when she was jumping on the bed with young-newly-turned vampires. And I take my fault fully. Father died long ago, and I should let her live her immortal life how she wants and with whom she wants. If she sleeps with those young boys, it doesn't mean she forgot my father.

At the same time, she was mad at me for choosing such a dangerous path, which my father dreamt about, and not asking her thoughts about that at all. She was always worrying about me, but I was closing myself from her all the time, not letting her know even the slightest thing. It made her react to everything going on around me so toxic. And that was our fault. I was guilty of not taking her in my life, while her fault was not telling me that was bothering her.

When I opened my mouth to say anything to that, we both heard a loud noise and scream coming from the down. Then, a knock, the door opened, and I saw one of my guards.

"Mr. Malone, I'm sorry to interrupt you, but your younger brother lost his head. He's trying to offend lady Aurora. We did our best to keep him away from her, but you're the only one who can stop him. Please, hurry," the guard ran away from the room and headed down when he heard another scream.

It was Aurora calling my name and ran faster to her voice coming from the first floor. I heard my mother running after me, the clicking sounds of her stilettos were echoing from the walls. When we got down, the doors to the dining room were opened. I ran there as fast as I could and what I've seen made me shocked for a few seconds.

The place where the dining table was standing, was a whole mess and I could easily see my younger brother lying on it. A few guards were standing near the opposite wall, and I could see Aurora's stilettos and her legs between theirs. They were protecting her from my own mad brother. Luke, one of the waiters, was lying on the floor and bleeding not far away from the guards. The second waiter wasn't visible, but I saw a broken window, so probably Lewis was thrown out of the room in a fight. I felt my fire tickling the tips of my fingers when I heard the scream of my mother somewhere near me.

"George, what on Earth have you done?" her scream was in between despair and shock, so I quickly turned my head at her, and squeezed her hand to attract her attention.

"Go see if she's okay and help her," I demanded, and she ran as fast as she could to the guards. They let her in and then looked at me.

"Lady Aurora created some kind of bubble, it threw your brother away, but we can't be sure he's not dangerous." Said one of the guards, looking at me and then at the table where my so-called brother was lying.

"Don't call him my brother." I hissed, then raised my hand and the fire wandered through my fingers to the floor, then at the table, that started burning immediately, then took the George out of it to the air. "He's not a danger anymore. Go call the emergency and firefighters, and ask some more guards to come here."

The spurs of flame tied George in a cocoon and I got him closer to me. He was flying in the air due to the force of my fire.

"How dare you stupid boy touch my woman? You think, if you're immortal, you can do anything?"
