"So, you're back huh?" releasing a sigh as the tension left his body, Leorio unlocked the car doors as the three of us piled in the car. Looking into the rearview mirror he looked at the condition of Gon and Killua.

"Hmm… yeah something like that. Oh, did you run into any trouble while we were gone?" reholstering my gun I collected from Leorio, I began to slowly calm down from the state of alertness I was in previously. It was something about the clunk of the car door that felt like I was in an isolated area removed from the decimated city block.

"I umm… think I didn't need to worry, no one is going to head towards the sounds of destruction you guys made. Places like this are usually even ignored by the law until everything settles down…" Pulling out of the side alley, we began to make the ride towards the designated pick up spot for Kurapika.

*Ding* "well, even if someone walked by they would probably run away from you. A guy with a gun, in a fancy car, in a suit, and wearing sunglasses at night! You look like a stereotypical bodyguard." finished sending a text to Kurapika about our current status we hit up a conversation to stave off the uncomfortable silence that pervaded this usually bustling city.

"Hah! As if, I don't have one of those earpieces and I am not bald. Anyways, let's turn on the radio…" reaching over and fumbling at the controls of the unfamiliar car, Leorio eventually managed to turn on the radio as the sound of music filled the car.

"Huh, is this The Cars I didn't know they have their stuff here." looking at the radio, I was somewhat stunned at the familiar band from my old world. Sure, there were all sorts of things that were translated to this world such as the various countries and cultures but it was odd seeing something like this.

"I've never heard this song before?" piping up from the back was Gon who perked his head up a bit as he began to listen to the song.

"Yeah, I think this is 'Just What I Needed,' not my favorite song but it's up there." Cranking up the volume a bit, I looked out the windshield with a small smile on my face. It was these sorts of small things I missed from my previous life and it was quite pleasant to be reunited with the various bands and songs I treasured.

"I wonder if they also have YES here as well…" smiling as I bobbed my head to the song I forgot about the surging pain in my hand for a bit as we drove down the highway.

"The hell is that supposed to mean?" humming at the odd question, I looked at Leorio with a scrutinizing look before answering.

"What? I like the band… Owner of a Lonely Heart is my favorite song" Directing Leorio to get off at the next exit soon after we neared our destination. Though with the little time left we had on our trip a new line of questioning soon began.

"No, you said 'have it here' as in you did not expect it to be here in the U.S.S for whatever reason. And now that I think about it, you are the only person whose background we don't know much about. Even Killua was less secretive about his place of origin and he comes from a family of killers!" Pulling up to the red light, Leorio used the brief moment of pause to look over at me as he questioned me.

"It's Assassins." only to be interrupted by Killua who looked mostly bored or lost in the conversation alongside Gon.

*Sigh* "Whatever, what I wanted to ask you was where did you come from? Just out of curiosity. " Taking a moment to peer down at the map I laid out in my lap and comparing it to our surroundings before responding I weighed my options for a moment.

"You know… Intergalactic is a pretty good song ey?" Though in the end all I did was deflect the questions as we pulled off the highway into the empty road that went through the desert plains.

"Dear god another desert…" staring at the cracked earth and plumes of dusty clouds rolling across the ground. Fishing out a set of binoculars that were stowed in the glove box I handed them off to the boys as it was too much trouble to operate them one-handed.

"I think I see him? He is off the road ahead and to our left." calling out after a few moments Killua directed Leorio over to pick up Kurapika. And soon after we stopped idling as we sped over to him.

*Clunk* rounding around to the back of the car and opening the trunk he set his shovel alongside various other items before hopping into the back seat alongside Gon and Killua.

"It's good to see you are in one piece, so did you end up killing the guy?" leaning back in my seat as I twisted my head to get a glimpse of him, I struck up a new round of conversation as we drove off to our temporary base of operations that was Kurapika's private room.

Nothing of any real importance was said during that time but it was fine, we used the short time inside the car as a break or downtime. For the past few days, we rarely had time when there wasn't an imminent looming problem so it was nice to kick back a bit. Though, a handful of us in the car were aware of the incoming explosive reaction of the troupe that would be happening in the coming days after losing two members.

'It will probably be whenever the auction opens up again after laying low these past few days.' ruminating over the metaphorical deadline of our break as we pulled into the reserved parking space at the hotel we made our way back to the private room.

"By the way, I'd like to let you know that I have to leave tonight, I will be taking the car with me in a bit but feel free to use the room for the duration of the auction. So if you need to retrieve your items from your own hotel rooms then I would use the car right now."
