The Capital of Yean,
A huge city filled to the brim with different kinds of things.
but in the middle of this huge medieval city, is a large castle, with another large wall surrounding it.
It is the Academy of Ambition.
"wow~~," I say with complete awe.
The carriage stops again at another gate and this one is the gate of the Academy.
This time a knight bearing the crest of the Academy halts us and inspects our carriage.
"You can pass," The knight says after careful inspection.
The gate of the academia then opens and our carriage proceeds to enter.
Not a moment later our carriage is now at the mouth of the castle.
I hear a knock on the carriage door.
"Young master, you can now exit"
I open the window and see the escort knight who knocked on the door.
I nod and proceed to open the door.
"I need to bathe first before we proceed to the test," I said to the escort knight
"Yes, young master, the academia has already given us a room" the escort knight replied to me.
I nod and proceed to follow one of the escort knights and after walking for a bit we arrive at the room.
I thanked the escort's knights and enter the room before I get the chance to open the door.
"Young Master, the examination starts tomorrow feel free to rest for today" one of the escort knights suddenly spoke to me.
I look back and nod then finally enter the room.
I look for the bathroom and hurriedly undressed and enter it, then proceeded to bathe myself.
After a while, I finished bathing and look for the clothes the academia prepared for me.
I dressed and lay down on the bed, never had a bed that felt so comfy,
"The effects of one week of sleeping in a carriage," I said to myself
The knights only need two hours of sleep every night to regain their aura. Aura made them able to be awake for 14 hours a day.
"Aura is so convenient," I said to myself.
I looked at the window and saw that it was already nighttime.
I felt the sleepiness overcome me and I pass out.
I awoke to the sound of knocking on my door.
"Sir Kayn, breakfast is here" A voice came from the other side.
"Yes, thank you, you may enter" I replied hurriedly
The door then opens and a maid carrying a tray of food enters, she puts the tray of food at the table near my bed.
A female wearing the uniform of the Academia then enters, she bowed and proceeded to talk.
"Kayn Lynine, I am an assistant of the teacher of the academia, the examination starts an hour from now, please get ready and I will guide you to it." She says to me
I nod and proceeded to eat, the maid and the assistant bowed to me and proceeded to exit.
I quickly devour the food that was prepared for me and go to the bathroom to bathe again.
After 30 minutes, I exit my room and see the 5 escorts knights guarding my room and the assistant not so far away from my room.
I walk up to her
"I am now ready," I said to her
She nods and gestures for me to follow her.
I start to follow her and the 5 knights start to follow me.
Not long after, we arrive at some kind of chamber, the 5 escorts knight stood to watch outside and the assistant and I entered the chamber.
I see 4 teachers in the chamber and an orb in the middle.
the teacher then nods to the assistant and the assistant leaves.
"Kayn Lynine, please put your hand on the orb" One of the teachers asked.
I comply and put my hand on the orb.
"Close your eyes, and focus on the orb" One of the teachers then demands.
I nod and start to do it.
I felt some unknown force seep into my body but instead of making my body feel relaxed, it made my body tense up.
It felt uncomfortable but I didn't resist.
"Good work, boy, you can open your eyes now" One of the teachers suddenly spoke
I open my eyes and see the orb glowing with a blue light
"What does this mean?" I asked the teachers
"That means you have aura potential" One of the teachers replied to me
I felt my worries melt away and smile in my mind.
"You pass the examination, Affinity assessment can be done once you enter the Academy, for now, you can return to your room and we will contact your parents to inform them." The teachers explained to me.
"Ye-yes, thank you" I bowed to them to express my gratitude.
I leave the room and see the 5 knights outside
"How'd it go, young master?" One of the escorts knights asked me
"I have aura potential" I reply with hidden happiness
"That is great young master," The escort knight smiled at me and replied
"I plan now to rest in my room"
The knights nod to me and follow me to my room.
The knights then stood to watch while I enter my room
I lie down in my bed and look at the ceiling
"I won't waste this life," I thought to myself before taking a power nap.
