"What about my bed? Is there anything you know?" I asked because I wanted to know if they found out or not.
Christabel glared at me like she was going to eat me up and I almost hid under the table.
"You think we won't know?" Christabel asked.
"We entered your room yesterday and we saw the pictures you kept under your bed." she paused but my hands were already sweating "We first thought it was your uncle but then we took it out and checked it,"
"Ah ah ah! Don't say it, please." I quickly ran to Georgia's side to cover her mouth so she won't continue.
There were so many people in the restaurant and I was scared someone would hear and tell Lucian about it.
"Don't say it anymore, please!" I begged the two girls but of course, I knew it wouldn't be that easy!
"You kept..." I still covered Georgia's mouth when Christabel suddenly shouted and I had to leave Georgia's mouth to cover hers. I was still on Christabel's case when Georgia took action and l had to run back again but I knew I couldn't keep doing this because it won't get me anywhere with my stubborn and troublesome friends.
"Guys, can we please stop this? You don't want to embarrass me right?" I had to make them shut up somehow. So I decided to talk it out.
"Ah! Alright! Alright! We've heard you," Georgia replied waving me off and continuing with her food. She was clearly done with the conversation.
But my second friend who was as stubborn as me wouldn't back off so easily and was still focusing her gaze on me.
"So, now tell me, do you like Lucian?" Christabel asked the most shameless question of my life and I became red immediately. My face flushed with shyness and I just kept fiddling with my fingers and didn't answer her.
"You are not going to talk? Then I will call your rival then."
"My rival? What do you mean by my rival? I don't understand what you are saying, Christabel." I asked. I was getting really curious! Who could my rival be?
"You don't know who else is dying for Lucian?" Christabel asked with a surprised written face.
Georgia who was already munching on her food looked up "Well... It's the second prettiest girl in our school after you. Jane loves Lucian and would do anything to win him over. She is even planning to seduce him on our dinner night." Georgia explained.
"And that would be the end if she succeeds Mabel. You would lose Lucian forever, babe." Christabel added.
"So you have to act now if you want to win Lucian over. I'm sure he likes you too!" Georgia concluded and like that, my brain started working actively and I started thinking about how to win my man over.
*************
I was in class one day when Lucian entered the class with his set of friends. He attracted all the girl's gaze and none of the girls could avoid gawking at him.
I looked at him and smiled. He at first looked surprised but he smiled back anyway and went to his seat.
"Mabel, can you see he likes you? He smiled back! He definitely likes you!" Christabel whispered excitedly and my face burn.
"You just have to become nice to him and he will surely ask you out soon!" Said Georgia casually like it was something that happens every day.
Actually, I really didn't know what brought the three of us together because the two girls are like superglue when they are around their crushes!
And when I say crushes, I mean numerous guys. Their crushes were always many and they would always stick around them like they must not get off. They liked guys way too much and they really didn't believe in love. So, I understood that my love case was like a drama to them.
People would always tell us we are the opposite of each other but our friendship stood strong even though we were totally different.
I was still on my own and wasn't even thinking about Lucian when Georgia gently nudged me and I looked at her with questioning eyes.
"Look at Lucian," she whispered and I immediately stared at where Lucian was seated only to see Jane beside him and they were actually discussing something quietly.
"They are just talking. Why do you want me to look at them?" I asked Georgia innocently, even though, my mind was in turmoil and I knew I was hot with jealousy but I still had to pretend like I didn't care so that my two troublesome friends would let me off later in the day when we start gisting.
"You mean you are not jealous and you are ok with that?" Christabel who overheard our discussion butted in but I gave no reply and just focused on my writing.
"Hey, Jane!" Jane's best friend, Ric, shouted immediately after she got to the class. Everybody knew her to be trouble looking girl. She never feared anyone and would always pick fights with anybody.
Jane glanced at her friend and forced a smile "Hi Ric " she said back but I knew she was unimpressed with her friend's action.
"Let's go now, Jane! It's the time!" Ric shouted and walked to her desk. She took her purse from her desk and kept it in her pocket.
