My Uncle Kal and I later decided to leave Korea and live in Europe. Maybe I would be able to get over the agony and live well
"You are still very young to immerse yourself into this agony, Mabel. You should be happy so your parents will be happy up there. I'm sure they are looking at you right now and they would be sad seeing you this sad. Be happy for your parents please Mabel." Uncle Kal would always say to me.
But how was it possible for me to be fine again? It really wasn't because I missed my father every day of my life.
When Uncle Kal proposed that we should travel to Europe, I felt happy about it as I thought it might help me get over the issues and I could meet new people that would make me feel better.
We processed our visas and with the help of Uncle Da won, we were able to finish up everything in two weeks and we left Korea for Europe.
**********
Life in Europe was full of pleasure. My first year in Europe was not so good as it was still very hard for me to allow people into my life.
I was enrolled in school but my personality made them see me as a sadist and only the bullies came to me for friendship which I coldly turned off every time they came.
"Hey, Sadist! I'm a bad girl too. So let's be friends and we can control the school together!" A girl who was about two years older than I was came over to me to ask for friendship in her own kind manner.
I gazed at the girl and smirked coldly. "You can be bad but I don't need your type of person as a friend," I said to the girl as cold as I could mutter and she got annoyed.
"Are you turning me down? You don't need my type of person as your friend? What?!" She said very annoyed and it was then I knew she was Korean because she spoke like a Korean!
"Yes! I don't need you!" I replied back without any fear even though I knew she was stronger than me.
"What?!"
"Do you want to die?!" I asked her with a very serious cold look while I looked straight into her eyes. Though she was older than me, we were of the same height. So, it made it easy for me to intimidate her without any restraint.
And like I expected, she was frightened. Clearly intimidated by me and she ran away like a fearful little chicken!
It was after a year when I got to school did I let go of my cold personality and started making new friends.
Making new friends was really very easy for me, I only had to start smiling and my beauty did the rest. I was the most beautiful girl in my school and I was only seven then but I was way more mature than most of my age mates because of what I'd gone through.
My new friends' names were Christabel and Georgia. The two girls became my best friend and would always visit me at home any day we didn't go to school.
My life became normal again and everything was going well and fine.
Ten years later, I was already 17 years old and I was now in high school.
Christabel and Georgia remained my best friends even till high school and once again, I was the prettiest girl in my high school. Every guy wanted to get close to me and most girls wanted to be my friend while some were jealous and hateful.
There was this guy in my school, his name was Lucian. Lucian was our school hunk and every girl's dream guy!
Girls flocked around him like sheep as his beauty was eye candy.
I thought I'd never fall for any guy but this guy changed my opinion. I fell for him the first day I saw him but I would never admit that.
"Mabel, you like Lucian right?" Christabel asked me one afternoon when we were eating lunch.
The question caught me off guard and I nearly choked on my food "What?!" I asked with surprise.
"Ah, Mabel! We are your best friends. So you should tell us everything! You have a dark heart!" Georgia said and hit me back. It hurt so much that I had to drop my spoon to rub it.
"What do you mean? Why, why do you girls think I like him?" I asked them because I was sure I hid my feelings so well that nobody could have known I liked him.
Most times when he speaks in class and everyone would cheer him up while dreaming about his seductive lips. I would rest my head on my desk and act like I didn't have any interest in whatever he was saying.
Because of my attitude towards him, most people, even him, thought I hated him and I didn't bother to explain. So how did my friends find out? I was really confused.
"Are they ghosts?" I asked myself.
"Ya! Why do we think you like him? You think we won't know? After being your friend for ten years?" Christabel asked me and she was about to hit me again but I quickly stood up and ran to the side.
"You really should tell me how you know," I said while pouting.
"You think we don't always see how you turn red whenever we talk about him? Ugh! You always pretend like you hate him but blush anytime we mention his name and even your bed??!" Georgia screamed.
I felt embarrassed. "Aaa!" I said slowly, scratching my neck even when it wasn't itching me. "But... What about my bed?" I asked. I wanted to know if they found out.
