She might as well hope the floor opened up under her feet and swallowed her whole.

"Where should I dump this potato sack?" Nate, ever so eloquent, broke the ice with his insensitive question.

She grimaced. Cursing herself and her ancestors who might commit heinous crimes generations prior. It must be extended karma served to their descendants.

And she was rambling.

"Who are you?" The boss snapped at Nate, turning her glare to his direction, and Keira felt a breath leave her.
