Chapter 12 - Chap 12 - The Pursuit of Alexia: A Dangerous Encounter

Leandra quickly arrived at the hiding place where Elizabeth was waiting for her. As soon as Elizabeth saw her, she glared at her with a cold look.

"What took you so long?" Elizabeth's tone was accusatory and possessive as if Leandra had been purposely keeping her away from Adriel.

"Elizabeth, what does 'code red' mean again? Who could possibly know about Adriel's curse?" Leandra asked, trying to divert Elizabeth's attention from her.

"There is a group that looks out for people like Adriel," Elizabeth said, her voice dripping with possessiveness. "They seem to have come here because they think Adriel is not using his skills well."

"But he hasn't used that charisma since he was 14!" Leandra exclaimed in shock.

"I want you to find them and investigate; I'll be looking into who's smearing Adriel's reputation." Elizabeth handed Leandra a folder with pictures and information about Alexia and Makoto.

Leandra quickly skimmed the documents, and her blood ran cold. Alexia's picture looked eerily similar to Elizabeth, and the information revealed that she was extremely jealous and possessive of Makoto, not allowing anyone else to join their team.

"That Alexia looks like Elizabeth to me, and it gives me the creeps," Leandra thought to herself, feeling uneasy about the similarities.

"It seems that Adriel's reputation is spreading even more than we expected." Elizabeth's voice was dark and dangerous, her possessiveness and jealousy fueling her anger.

"We need to get rid of this rumor before the festival ends; otherwise, it will cause chaos," Elizabeth added, her tone leaving no room for argument.

"Then we better get going," Leandra replied, feeling a bit unnerved by Elizabeth's yandere-like behavior.

Leandra spent a while looking for Makoto before she located him.

It turned out that the mysterious young man was hiding not too far from the stage. She followed him to a small building, where he seemed to be having a meeting with some of the students.

"Excuse me, are you Makoto?" asked Leandra.

One of the boys standing near him looked around nervously.

"Please, girl, leave this place before she shows up," Makoto said in a scared voice.

"Who's that?"

"Alexia, my girlfriend. She's dangerous; she wants to kill everyone."

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

Suddenly, a large shadow appeared behind them, and Leandra tensed up as she realized Alexia had arrived. A young lady with rosy locks emerged, both stunning and terrifying, and Leandra couldn't help but feel a sense of dread as she met Alexia's strange gaze.

"You're late," Alexia said coldly, her eyes flicking to Makoto. "Didn't you tell me to meet you here?"

Makoto quickly tried to explain, "Yes, I'm sorry. It just didn't work out."

"Oh, really?" Alexia turned her attention to Leandra, and the atmosphere became tense. "When did you bring a female companion?"

"I swear, she appeared out of nowhere," Makoto hastily defended himself.

Alexia seemed unconvinced and quickly tried to attack Leandra, who barely managed to dodge the blow. The force of the attack caused her to lose her balance, but she managed to regain it.

"Missy, don't you know it's wrong to steal another girl's boyfriend?" Alexia asked as she prepared for another attack.

Leandra knew that Alexia was a yandere, and her heart raced as she tried to avoid the attacks. If she didn't fight back, she would end up dead, but she also knew that she couldn't reason with Alexia.

"I don't want to fight you," Leandra said, backing away as Alexia attacked again. "But if I have to, I will defend myself."

Alexia was stunned by Leandra's response, and her eyes glinted with a dangerous light. "You think you can escape death by running away from me?"

Leandra's heart sank as Alexia chased after her, and she knew she had to think fast if she wanted to survive. She used her magical knowledge to make herself even more agile, and her speed increased dramatically. Leandra became almost perfect in her agility, and she knew that this was only temporary, but she decided to use it anyway.

As she ran through the crowd, Alexia chased after her without any hesitation, her determination unshakable. It seemed like she had no intention of giving up, and Leandra knew that she would never give up.

Just as Leandra was about to give up, she was grabbed by the hand. The hand belonged to a woman in her thirties who was a grown-up. She wore black clothes, with a white coat covering most of them. A pair of glasses rested on her nose, making her look intelligent and wise.

"Stop this madness," the woman said firmly. "This isn't the way to handle things."

Leandra's expression softened slightly as she recognized the woman. "Seda," she murmured, her grip on Leandra loosening.

Leandra took the opportunity to step back, putting some distance between herself and Alexia. She watched as Seda tried to reason with Alexia, hoping that she would be able to diffuse the situation before anyone got hurt.
