The evening sun has finally set. The night sky devoid of clouds was a little bit brighter than usual. The stars and the cresent moon present adorned the night sky. The night's gentle breeze kept blowing the hair of every passerby. This was the kind of night a man would want to spend with his woman; A Romantic one.
To others, this might be a wonderful night but for a particular someone it was quite the opposite.
' They're still tailing me. I've tried all means to shake them off...but somehow they're able to track down my movement.' He cursed under his breath.
Even in the cool and gentle breeze, Nuzar was breathless and sweating heavily . After countless attempt to make his pursuers lose track of him, they still managed to tail him. Now he was taking refuge in the trees making sure to hold his heavy breath.
From the tree top, He saw the men from a distance. The men were the guards from the tower. These guards were ordinary guards in plain clothing. They were five of them. Soon enough, they got to the area Nuzar was hiding. He watched them from the tree top.
" Young man, it's best you give us what we seek to avoid unnecessary trouble." one of the guards shouted as he looked at the large tree where Nuzar was hiding. The guards drew out their swords. He already knew what they wanted and he wasn't going to give them.
'I can't just stay here and do nothing' He thought. He scanned around to it there are others hiding nearby. ' Five of them...I should be able to take them on but not without scratches'. He sighed.
" Very well friends... you leave me with no option. Let's end it here." He jumped down from the tree and frowned inwardly. 'This eerie aura again. But this time it's less concentrated compared to the kilted guard I met at the tower'. He shook his head. His right eye was getting hotter with every second that passed.
Now that the burning sensation was growing in his right eye he was completely sure that they're not completely human just like the kilted guard. He drew out his sword and keenly observed their movements ready to strike in any moment.
" You can't stand there and do nothing." One of them smirked.
" Don't be a scaredy-cat will ya, c'mon let's get this over with" Another giggled.
" Amur, this guy should be a piece of cake for you."
Soon, one of them with a lanky figure dashed towards the young adult swinging his saber wildly. "Hmph! slow". Nuzar ducked them narrowly and took a few steps backward. Beads of sweat were already forming on his forehead. ' That was terrifying. Even as a saber practitioner he's still nimble. What if... he wielded a sword'. Nuzar shook his head slightly as if it would clear his mind.
" I'm sure you know that you can't run away from us, It doesn't matter where you run to or hide, we would always find you, dude." Amur giggled mischievously.
" Run away? You're thinking too highly of yourself " Nuzar held onto the hilt of his sword tightly. " Let finish it here then." Amur said confidently and charged forward again to deliver a killing blow to the young man.
" That was what I wanted to say" Nuzar replied before sprinting towards his assailant to deliver his own blow.

Somewhere in the tower, the young boss of the establishment was fuming in rage. He kept pacing around with widened strides, trashing the large room used as his private workroom. On closer inspection, one would see numerous scars on his face.
" We're really sorry to have let that intruder escape but I promise that once we catch the other one we'll bring him in for questioning". The petite manager consoled.
" That's not what I'm talking about!" The boss screamed. " That masked intruder almost killed me." He banged his fist on the wooden table at his side which creaked loudly.
" I expect you not to disappoint me again. The other one mustn't escape from the grasp of your boys". He grumbled.
....
Nuzar was sweating despite the night's cool and gentle breeze. Adrenaline was being pumped into his blood stream. After taking down the guard named Amur, his body tingled in excitement and the burning sensation in his right eye was replaced with a soothing one.
The other four guards were rendered motionless by amazement.
" You guys should stop dilly-dallying.... I've got other things to do." He said as he charged in again. He raised his sword down against the head of the one nearest to him. He tried to block the incoming blow but he was too slow. Nuzar's sword was already embedded in his brain-box.
" Ahhhh--hhh!" The piercing scream of the dying guard jolted the other three from their trance like state.
" This feeling is... addictive" the young Adult muttered to himself as he felt stronger or probably the adrenaline rush increasing every second. His right eye was experiencing a cool sensation.
' Two down, three more to go. I really have to be careful now... my first two attacks were more like a surprise attack that caught them off guard. They're going to get serious now. ' He sighed softly.
The three guards surrounded him, sealing his retreat path completely. They took a frightening battle stance, ready to end their 'littl'e threat. Two of the guards inched closer to him and swung their swords down on Nuzar. He narrowly ducked the two attacks but felt another one bitting into his skin. The guards looked at each other and nodded. They attacked again and again with each cut getting deeper than the last.
'Oh, it seems they've developed the 'perfect' attack strategy to weaken me first and then end me. I must do something.' He panicked. The only fortunate thing was that the wound were healing at a quick rate due to them being shallow.
One advantage of undergoing the body and soul tempering one's soul energy would be able to heal non fatal wounds until it reaches a diminishing point. The body stops healing itself as a self protection mechanism because once it passes it's threshold the body would start to age and would eventually wither.
The previous Nuzar had already undergone the body and soul tempering to reach the basic tiered stage, naturally his body was healing itself. The only reason why the other guards died was because the blows he dealt them was fatal and their bodies couldn't heal itself before their demise.
The attacks kept on piling until Nuzar's body couldn't heal anymore. His body kept trembling from pain, fear and something else. Although he couldn't heal up, he felt a rising energy from his right eye, the same eye that got injured during the scuffle between the antique hunters. As the mysterious energy was growing in his eye he felt a soothing sensation coursing through his injured body. Not that the energy was healing his wounds but he felt his body growing stronger.
His opponents were already breathless but we're inching closer to finish him off. ' I've got to do something... this surge of energy, I don't know if it's temporary or permanent but I have to act now. ' He reasoned.
His wounds weren't healing but he could feel his stamina returning quickly. Now, the energy have stopped moving around his body but he could feel that his body was slightly different from before. His partially damaged eye sight in his right eye was completely perfect. He could see perfectly fine, even clearer than his other eye. Despite the fact that it was night time, he could see black smog escaping from the bodies of the guards who were few steps away from him.
"They really aren't humans" Nuzar mumbled. " Hey fellas, won't you try finish me off now or you won't get the chance to." He said as he stood up from his kneeling position.
"For a puny brat like you... you've got an inhuman stamina, well let's see what will become of you when we rip out your guts." The dwarf among them said.
They widened their strides and got to Nuzar in seconds and swung their swords against Nuzar but he nimbly dodged their attacks. His body was instinctively moving on its own, as if it could predict their attack. His right eye felt very hot but the pain didn't get to him. He was focused...no... his body was focused on eliminating the threats in front of it.
Suddenly, the assaulters halted their attacks and moved backwards. "He...hee...he isn't hu..man also." The dwarf guard stuttered out shock.
" I've never seen an human with a blue eye." Another one trembled.
" We were told that he'd be an easy one to deal with but....." the third one complained.
'Blue eye? That.... should be my right eye. What's going on.' Nuzar was confused, but when he saw his assaulters trying to run away his body moved on its own and in no time he was in front of the guards who were trembling in fear. He slashed the heads of the guards subconsciously in a clean strike.

Ding! Ding! .....
These sounds kept ringing in Nuzar's head. He felt dizzy and lightheaded. He couldn't stand anymore as he fell on the ground, completely drained.
" Well... well, looks like we have a cute little super hero here. You really turned the tables huh? but your heroic deeds ends here" A manly voice sounded. Nuzar couldn't see the face of the man clearly as a blurry blue screen kept disturbing his eyesight in the right eye and the left one was not any better since it was a bloody mess.
Although he couldn't see the individual's face clearly, he recognized the aura; The concentrated demonic aura of the kilted guard from the tower.
