The fusion between the two souls was something that requires an almost perfect concentration. It really was a risky move. Any lapse can make the two souls cease to exist. Both souls were compatible because they have almost the same personality. The fusion was a very slow process, which was why Nuzar tried to fasten the process making his soul to flicker vigorously. Since the fusion had already started and could take up to a week to be completed, Nuzar thought it would be better to let Zack know about the ancient continent.

" The power pyramid classified not only citizens into tiers. It classified occupations, weapons, artefacts, cities into seven. " Nuzar stopped, trying to figure out something. He noticed that his soul energy and Zack's were drawn out, forming a bright yellow ball which had the size of a golf ball. Knowing that the soul fusion was working, he continued. " All Occupations are not to be belittled."

Although occupations are classified into major and minor, one of the prominent rules of the ancient continent was not to belittle any occupation. All the Major Clans in Misr have their unique (Origin) occupations. Occupations that raises the level of the body and soul constitution of an Individual is known as a Major occupation. Alchemy, Smithing and Medicine (Art of healing) are the top three major occupations in the ancient continent as a whole.
Alchemy, Smithing and Medicine might seem to be the at the peak of the pyramid but the truth is that they are under the wings of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Just like the other occupations, witches and wizards are ranked as ; Pseudo basic tier wizards (Apprentice ), Basic tier wizards, Intermediate tier wizards, Advance tier wizards, King tier wizards, Nascent-Emperor tier wizards, and Emperor tier wizards.
All Alchemists, Physicians (Divine healers) and blacksmiths are required to attend the School of Witchcraft and wizardry. Wizardry is recognized as the Master occupation not just because of the heightened fighting prowess of its practitioners but their ability to master the top three occupations. The place to get a perfect body and soul tempering is the School of Witchcraft and wizardry but the services offered by wizards/witches are very expensive, that's why many citizens of the low income bracket resort to visiting Alchemists, Physicians and blacksmiths since their services are a little bit cheaper.

'My consciousness is gradually fading away .' Nuzar muttered. He thought he could continue talking for hours. At first, he thought the fusion would take at least a week to get completed at a fast pace or maybe a month at a slower pace. As time passed by, he noticed that the yellow ball of soul energy had grown to the size of a miniature human and it might be possible to complete the process within three days.
The soul fusion was fast. Faster than Nuzar had expected. He could not continue his explanation of how things work in the ancient continent. He had to give his all to make sure the soul fusion was almost perfect.
" Zack " He called. " The second phase of the fusion is about to commence. This is when our thoughts and memories would be made to synchronize. " He said, staring ahead. Nuzar was panic stricken and Zack could see that.
" What's the problem". Zack asked. Fear was apparent in his face. Even with the little time he spent with Nuzar, he had never seen a him display a panic expression. Seeing that kind of expression on Nuzar's face, spelt trouble.
" You need to brace yourself. The second phase would be a painful process." Nuzar warned.
When the word pain was said, Zack scoffed inwardly. ' I've felt pain countless times in my previous life. ' He thought. Pain meant nothing to him. No matter how painful the process was, he was ready to brave through it.
The yellow soul energy was growing bigger with every second that passed. This meant that their consciousness was fading fast.
"Argh! ". They screamed in synchrony.
The pain they felt was sharp and sudden. " Zack, no matter how painful this gets, try not to lose your consciousness.... or we cease to exist." Nuzar reminded, gritting his teeth. He began to chant some strange words reminiscent of a guru chanting his mantra—He was casting the fusion's spell. He started slowly at first, but began to increase the pace due to the immense pain he was experiencing.
" Argh! A..aaargh! " Another piercing scream escaped from their mouths. The yellow soul energy was almost the size of a matured human. It even had a humanoid figure. Both parties were trying hard to retain their consciousness as they were fading away rapidly.
The yellow humanoid figure made of soul energy was seated in between both parties with its legs crossed, its eyes closed and head slightly tilted backward—a meditation posture. Events of Zack's previous life were flashing across the mind of both parties at a fast pace. After which Nuzar's began to play out albeit, at a faster rate.
The pain was too much for them to handle. Zack and Nuzar couldn't be bothered to focus on the visions playing out in their minds. Not that Nuzar's minded those visions, he was still chanting the same strange words speedily although, with a muffled voice.
'Aaaaaarrrggh!' They groaned.
The pain they felt this time was more intense than the previous ones. They flickered violently until they disintegrated into yellow dust particles. The particles were sucked into the yellow humanoid soul—The fusion was successfully completed.
As expected, the yellow humanoid soul bore striking resemblance to Nuzar. It opened its eyes slowly and exhaled loudly. It stood up from its sitting position and began to examine itself. " I..feel.....different ". 'He' muttered, slowly.
" Thank goodness.....the fusion was a success " He smiled.
Although, soul fusion was a risky process to undergo. It was the only option for the two souls. The presence of two souls could put a great strain on the body, at best. It could even cause the body's vitals to rot . Nuzar managed to coax Zack into fusing with him. It was a perfect fusion because, they had almost the same personalities.
"I, Za.... Nuzar....am back better...and stronger." He chuckled. He really needed to get used to the new name he chose to use. After all, it was Nuzar that owned the body. No doubt, the ' new entity ' was Zack who now had Nuzar's memories. He was still examining himself when he felt like he was intoxicated. Soon, he began to sway violently like a drunkard. " What's happening. " He cried. He tried to fight against the feeling but he fell and disappeared into the darkness beyond.
