Jumping up in an instant, Alex was by Kaia's side, "Are you alright?" He asked pulling her hair from her face. Kaia stood straight wiping her mouth with a handkerchief that Alex pulled out for her. She nodded lightly, "yea, its nerves, and adrenaline… I'll be okay."
Kaia turned her head again to see her mother standing next to her father, Castello. Kaia blinked and walked over looking at Castello then at her mother."Mom? Why are you here?" She asked gently, hugging her mom, who welcomed her openly.
Kaia's mother looked over Kaia lovingly, gently touching her cheek."Peter told you that I left your stepfather. I didn't think this was the way we would see each other again, but I'm grateful. I'm so sorry dear, how is your daughter?" She asked before looking up at Alex.
Alex looked at Kaia's mom in question," It's brilliant that you are here, but we are taking him down." Kaia's mother nodded, "I won't stand in your way. He deserves everything that is coming to him. I brought some audio files that I recorded of him." She handed him a disposable phone.
Kaia couldn't help but hug her mother once again." Mom, what are you doing now?"She asked, pulling back, placing her hands on her mother's shoulders. With a smile, her mother walked over to Castello, taking his hand in hers."I'm choosing to be happy," She chirped brightly.
Kaia looked over to Alex before leaning onto his shoulder. "They think Alexa has some fluid build up in her lungs. They are taking her to see what the next step to take will be," She said looking down to the ground. Kaia's mom looked down, frowning.
Castello looked at Alex," Mr. Sabor. We set up the event. He will show because he thinks that you are going to hand over your company." Alex sneered, crossing his arms, "Good." Alex glanced down at Kaia and rubbed her arms lightly."I'm going to take her in to get more sleep. You can wait here, but they only let very few people back at a time," He said, slipping off his jacket and putting it around Kaia.
Castello shook his head, "We will visit when she's in better terms. Let her heal quickly." They all nodded and turned going separate ways. Alex and Kaia returned to the room in the hospital and set up to sleep. Kaia cuddled up to Alex and just laid with him, listening to his heartbeat.
Alex gently stroked her back, staring up at the ceiling," Get some rest, my love." Kaia nodded and closed her eyes, his heartbeat alone was enough to soothe her to sleep.
When Zac and Naomi made it to the hospital, Kaia and Alex both were sleeping. Alexa was back in the room. Not wanting to wake them they just quickly put the stuff in a chair and left the room.

The next morning, Kaia awoke to the sound of Alexa choking. She quickly called the nurses, terrified of what was going on. The nurses instantly calmed her down, "That's a good sign. She can breathe on her own; we can take the breathing tube out. We do have to keep her on oxygen until her lung heals completely." Kaia nodded, watching as the nurses removed the tube.
Alex rubbed Kaia's back. He kissed her forehead and let out a small sigh, "I need to get ready for the event." Kaia nodded and kissed him softly. "Okay, Don't worry. I have our little girl," She hugged him tightly before sitting back by Alexa's side.
Alex walked over to the corner of the room picking up his suit and walking to the bathroom to get ready. After showering, Alex shaved and fixed his hair up.
After getting completely dressed, Alex left the bathroom and went to the files on the chair pulling them up. He began to look through them to see what should go first. If he was going to do this, He was going to do it right.
After getting everything ready, Alex stood up walking over to Kaia. He kissed her cheek softly," I'll return quickly." Kaia stood up to hug him. She leaned her head into his chest, "Okay, Be safe." Alex hugged her tightly, responding to her hug. He kissed her once more before leaving the hospital making his way to the event. Right after he left, Bretton showed up at the hospital to sit with Kaia and Alexa.
When Alex made it to the event, the entire entrance to Sabor Sights was surrounded. Media, reporters, and even civilians stopped to see what was going on. Alex straightened his tie before the door to the car open. Zac and Naomi stood there to greet him.
Alex stepped out of the car and made his way to the front of the event, Zac and Naomi trailing beside him. Seeing him walk onto the platform everyone started to talk at once, hoping for the answer to their questions. Alex stood tall and firm as he stood behind a podium, covered with many microphones.
Alex held up his hands in a halting manner, and everyone quieted down. "I will take a few questions as we wait for our main guest to arrive, "He spoke sternly. Everyone began to talk at once again. This made Alex sigh and hold up his hands again," Your questions will be answered, I'll call on you randomly so try not to speak over people so I can here." The crowd nodded and quieted down.
Zac and Naomi stood in the crowd with a mic to help project questions. So when Alex chose a person, one of the two would take a mic over. Alex began, he looked over the crowd and pointed. A young woman leaned into the mic asking," Mr. Sabor. The child from the wreck, It was your daughter right?"
Alex nodded lightly, "Yes. My daughter Alexa was involved with the wreck." Alex looked across the crowd for the next question. The reporters shot their hands in the air, like a bunch of kindergarteners waiting to be called on.
