NORMAN'S POV
Before I could reach the cold ground on the lonely street of Bagley, I felt someone grabbed me, a warm arms encircled me, I could feel the person's warm breath on my face, I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't, the person's face was quite blurry as I finally welcomed the darkness and I lost into consciousness.
I slowly opened my eyes, my eyes still blurry, my eyes first made contact with the ceiling, and I noticed I was in a strange room. I was trying to figure out where I was but just then the door slowly opened and a lady walked into the room.
"Greetings Mr, you're awake."
She said as she greeted me. She came closer with a smile planted on her face.
"I'm Agatha."
She said smiling as she tried to cover the wound.
"Thank you for your help."
I said while being grateful to her.
"I have removed the poison and you will be okay in just a few minutes."
She explained as she covered the wound with some herbs.
"This will suck the wolfsbane out from the wound, you are lucky I found you on time before the poison could reach your blood."
She continued as I just looked at her wondering if she leaves here alone.
"Thanks so much but I have to go."
I stood up immediately grabbing my cloth and moved towards the door as I put it on.
"Please let me take you home."
She said as she immediately followed me to the door.
"You don't have to worry about me, I'm stronger than you think."
I rejected her offer with a smile on my face, she returned the smile and nodded.
"You never told me your name."
I heard her voice as she asked for my name just when I was about to leave.
"Norman, my name is Norman from Bayley pack."
I responded without looking back. Just when I moved a step I saw Steve.
"Alpha Norman......"
Steve came walking towards me as he bowed his head in respect.
"Alpha Norman!? The alpha of Bagley pack? I should have known better with his quick recovery."
I heard the girl whisper to herself as she thought I was just an ordinary member of Bagley's pack. I tilted my head back and smiled at her and she smiled back as I parted from her.
"What happened to you, my king?"
I heard Steve ask with a shaky voice.
"I was attacked."
I said to Steve as we walked to the carriage that was packed outside the building.
"Attacked how?"
He asked with a worried face.
"I was attacked by a stranger that claimed me and my mother made him homeless or perhaps made them homeless."
I explained to him more about how I was also saved by a strange lady.
"I want you to find out who that man is and also what he meant by saying we made them homeless. Find out every detail you could about him."
We arrived at the castle just in time, the carriage stopped in front of the castle, and my step mother was patiently waiting for me as I entered the sitting room.
"Son, what happened? I told you not to go out alone but you never listened."
She quarreled as she rushed towards me Immediately to check me from head to toe. It seems like Steven had gossiped to my mother already
"I'm fine mother, you don't have to worry, okay, I'm fine now."
I said to her to calm her down while I glared at Steve for telling her what happened.
I went to my room later. I mind linked Steve and told him to take some pack members and go in search of the man that attacked me with the description I gave him earlier about the man.
He came back by dawn the next day and came to see me in my room as they investigated through the night to avoid being recognized.
"Welcome back Steve. So how did it go?"
I asked as I couldn't wait to hear what he found out. He greeted me and proceeded to explain the outcome.
"We were able to find out who the man was."
He continued as he sat on a stool near the wardrobe facing me that was sitting on the edge of the bed.
"According to what we found out, the man was one of your cousin's men, he's among those that was able to escape when you raided the pack and by the look of things there I think he was not the only survivor."
He explained more of the things he saw there and how they lived their lives.
"Okay, I think they might be planning something evil against me and I guess they just failed their first attempt, so right now I want you to send someone as a spy to stay amongst them as one of them just until he finds out what exactly they are planning against me."
I instructed him and he left my room and headed back to his room.
"These traitors, they have no shame to think I would let them have their way."
I growled in anger as I paced around my room.
"I have done it before and I will surely do it again if the need arises, I will prove to them why I am NORMAN, the alpha of Bagley, the one and only alpha that fears no one."
I grilled my teeth and my eyes slightly turned darker.
"Steve, meet in my chamber and call the council members."
I talked to Steve through a mind link and by the time I entered the chamber they were already waiting for me, looking worried as they saw me enter with a frown.
"Listen council members, I have been threatened by a rogue who has the urge to take your alpha's life."
I raised my voice speaking furiously and everywhere was calm no one dared to speak a word.
"We have actually found out that they were some of my uncle's men that escaped the battlefield, so I need you all to be prepared for any attack that might be coming our way and be ready in case they decide to attack us first."
I said as I moved between them some, growling in anger, quite ready for a fight at any time. I left the meeting hall at 10:pm, I went back to my room but I couldn't sleep. I was so angry and I had to calm down before I lose it.
I stepped out of my room as I couldn't contain myself and I then headed to the mountain hill to relieve my anger and loneliness. I couldn't control my anger without my mate.
I decided to race into the woods before I headed to the mountain. I ran deep into the woods before retiring to the mountain.
I sat on the hill of the mountain and howled through the night relieving my anger and loneliness.
