"Oh my! I would love to have this conversation with you but it's late so I have to go" she looked for her purse and tried to stand up. But she immediately felt the room spinning which forced her back into her chair.
"Of course she was drunk," Cheng Ling said in a low tone
Cheng Ling observed her closely as he could tell there was some level of uneasiness in her.
He could sense the chemistry between both of them, he was just drawn to her, he wanted to leave the bar 30 minutes earlier but he cared enough to make sure she got home safely after all, his training included that.
He gently stood up stretching out his hands to help her up.
She looked at him thinking whether to accept his hand or not.
A quick glance around the place, she discovered the place was almost empty. And she knew she wasn't in the right frame of mind to drive. She couldn't even help herself up. She accepted his hand as she stood her legs gave her away as she almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, Cheng Ling quickly grabbed her waist and supported her which made her heart skip a beat. Her stomach tightened as she gently whispered in his ears
"Thank you"
"You're welcome" he retorted in a low tone.
"Damn!! she's wasted" he said to himself as he chuckled slightly.
The scent of a perfume he was wearing sipped through her olfactory canal hitting the part of her brain that refused to leave his embrace.
she kept staring at him with those large brown eyes, she drew him toward her with her eyes, he tilted his face toward hers and lay his mouth on her mouth, which was like a freshly split-open fig
which lasted for a few seconds with his hand wrapped around her waist supporting her.
He could see the passion in her eyes as she drew her lips close to his.
His entire being wanted to gonna step further but he restrained himself knowing fully well that she wasn't in the right frame of mind to make such decisions and he just couldn't take advantage of her.
She jerked a bit bowing her head shamefully trying to avoid his gaze
He broke off the silence with five words.
"Let me drive you home"
She sluggishly surrendered her keys. for some reason she felt safe around him. she had a feeling she could trust him. They turned to leave when the waiter's voice ought them to a halt.
"Your bill ma'am." He quickly collected the bill and gave him his card to pay for her bottle of vodka.
He helped her into the car and drove off
"Where do you reside,?" he asked hoping she wasn't too high to forget her residence.
"Liu..... Chen es...tate" she muttered.
But it wasn't the alcohol, she was possibly drunk in love, she was just too ashamed to speak confidently
"Liu Chen estate!!! "
"Of course I was right. She's an elite" he whispered underneath his breath.
He knew she was uneasy but he just couldn't find any words to say to make her feel better, not after what had just transpired in the bar
It was a 30 minutes drive to the estate.
She had fought sleep for about 15 minutes, she wanted to be awake throughout the ride till she got home.
She Cursed herself for driving far away from home in anger
She mocked her pathetic self for randomly kissing a guy and now worried about her safety after handing over her keys to him.
She finally, gave up the struggle with sleep
He stole a few glances at her from the front mirror. She was extremely beautiful in her sleep. "Too bad I might never meet her again after this."
He tried to savour up every moment he had making the best use of his time to steal as many glances as possible.
He drove into the estate and whispered something to the security man who recognized the car and gave him directions to the Huang mansion. The estate was truly beautiful.
He drove to the Huang mansion and explained to the bodyguard who was already prepared to track Huang Wei.
Mr Byun had been in charge of the family's security for 2 decades. He had watched Huang Wei grow. He was about to go out to look for her at the orders of his irritable boss when he saw her car. He was quite surprised to see her sleeping go to the back of the car.
"she must have been really sad to get this drunk," he thought to himself as a rush of sadness encrypted his soul.
Cheng Ling pulled her out gently and handed her over to Mr Byun.
"Thank you Mr", he said to Ling bowing slightly.
"Please wait a minute I'll send a driver to drop you off, it might be difficult to get a cab around here he added".
"Okay thank you, sir" he bowed as Mr Byun carried Huang Wei away. he started till they were no longer in sight.
"let's go, sir," the driver said bringing him back from his fantasy world. "what a night!" he said with a smile and got in the car.
"Where are you headed?"
"Kristen Bar"
All he could think of was the mysterious rich lady he met.
"oh, shit!!!! I don't even know her name"
