Chapter 19 - Chapter 18 - Summoning

A Time Spirit. An existence that hasn't been seen in the entire history of this world. A spirit that possesses the element that's been thought to be near impossible to completely control outside Godly beings. A spirit whose existence was not very known throughout the entirety of this world.

How come I have this kind of spirit, you may ask? First of all, let's go back to a few months before this event.

….

...

….

It was just a perfectly normal day, or should I say a day that now became normal to me. A usual day for me would be waking up, then stretching for a while, doing some exercise that my brother instructed me, practicing some magic, taking a bath, getting ready and eating, then going to classes, and finally, sleeping. It's quite the routine.

Of course, there are so many more like talking with my younger sister and teaching her some stuff and reading stories to my younger brother, all those kinds of stuff. But today was slightly different. I was given a day off, more specifically, it's something like a mid-term break of sorts.

It feels nice to have a break from time to time but since I've always been doing a lot every day, I became bored really quickly. Sure, I could practice magic or swords or something that could lift my boredom but since this is a medieval fantasy world, I don't think I could find something fun here like what I used to have in my previous world.

So I'm just here in the library, reading some books and stuff. Oh yeah, I've heard that I can finally read those special magic books in the library, I wonder if I should check it out… Hmm, might as well, nothing better to do anyway so why not. I set aside the books that I'd been reading and headed towards a large red door in the library. I knocked on the door and then it was opened by one of the librarians inside. They greeted me and gave me access to the room.

The door opened to show a room, just as big as the main library behind me. Normally, I would have been prohibited to enter here even though I am royalty but now I'm allowed to go here whenever I want. I guess that's one of the benefits of being a high-rank mage. Note, I am now a Dark Saint because of the spell that I did months ago where I exploded an area though I don't know why I was promoted to Saint Rank in terms of Dark magic than literally any other magic types that I used, I really can't complain though.

Anyways, I explored the place and saw many interesting books. Whether it be about magic circuits, magic theory, the basis of summoning magic, or whatever, you name it all, you can probably find it here. I was about to get those when I saw something in the corner of my eye. [Basics of Spirit Summoning], a book dedicated to summoning spirits.

They had books for this as well? I mean I guess not everyone knows how to summon spirits but I never thought that the basics of summoning spirits would be very special. Come to think of it, I never really found any books regarding summoning in the main library, or at least not a book that is fully dedicated to summoning. Anyhow, might as well get this first before the others and read it because this thing intrigued me more than I would realize.

I asked the librarian if I could borrow this book for a while and he said that I'm allowed to bring it outside of this room for only a couple of hours, that's fine, it's not like I'm going to take long reading it anyway. I thanked the librarian and went straight to the room where I have my magic class, I just felt like I need to go there if I would read this.

I arrived at the room and my instinct told me that I should go to the desk dedicated to magic experimentation, I wonder why. I started reading the book and was interested. It mainly consists of stories and descriptions about spirits, their origin, their rank, and many other things. I continued reading until I reached a page that greatly interested me. It was how to summon spirits, more specifically how to summon a spirit that closely matches your attribute or you in general.

For example, if you have the attribute of Fire then you might get a Fire Spirit and stuff like that. The reason why I was interested in this is that I was wondering what kind of spirit I would summon. After all, I had an affinity for all elements, from all of the main elements to all of the sub-types. So I was wondering what kind of spirit would I summon. Would I summon a spirit that is like me and can use every element or would I summon multiple spirits at once?

Either way, I was excited. I continued reading and finally learned the process of summoning the spirit. I first need to construct the spirit summoning formation and contract, now this process can just be done by making a magic circle using magicules but I didn't want to mess something up so I think I should just draw it.

Following the book's and my [Unique Skill: Knowledge]'s instructions for making it, I grabbed a large piece of paper and used a special type of ink to draw the formation. In which the ink has been added with stuff like the essence of magic crystals, highly magicule concentrated ingredients created through alchemy, and many more.

It took me a while to draw the entire formation but I finally finished it. I could have used normal ink to draw this but it said that using this will give better results, though I don't know how it is better exactly. It better be considering I used a very special ink but if both of them tell me to do it then it should be good. I laid down the formation on the ground and now the last thing is to add magicules and chant.

"Oh, great Spirits, reveal thyselves! Thy beings who created all things to exist and thrive, come to me and become my strength!"

The spirit formation started to glow in the color of gold. It was so golden that it is more golden than any of the gold we have. Wait, gold? The color that the formation emits is very important because it can tell you what kind of spirit you are summoning but I've never heard of gold! The golden light that is emitting… reminds me of something… It reminds me of a golden clock… wait, why am I thinking of a clock right now?

I stared in awe as I watched the spirit fully form in front of me. A few moments later, the spirit finally formed. A tall female body started to appear in front of me, with golden hair, fair skin, and a beautiful face. I was struck in awe when I saw this beautiful girl…

'Argh, wait! It's naked! I should find some clothe-'

I panicked and was about to find some clothes until I saw the body of the girl being covered with golden light. The golden light slowly dissipated to reveal clothes. It was simply a white gown but somehow it felt very holy. Is this really a spirit? This doesn't look like one…

The spirit started to float a bit off the ground and slowly opened its eyes. Its eyes were blue, which reminds me of the deep dark sea as if it's endless.

"Are you… a spirit?"

It did not respond but simply looked at me in confusion. It doesn't seem to understand what I said. It didn't do anything but go close to me and went inside my body. Why is it doing this?! Oh yeah, spirits are spiritual beings, meaning they don't have a material body. Huh, I wonder what this spirit is.

"Notice. The spirit summoned has been analyzed. It is the Lesser Spirit of Time."

Wait, Time? This is a spirit of Time?! Wait, I've never heard of that! Also, it is a Lesser one. No wonder it didn't respond, lesser or lower-tiered spirits have knowledge and sentience but have near non-existent ego/personality.

'Gosh, I summoned a spirit that has no ego… I shouldn't feel bad about this, after all, it is the Spirit of Time! That should be pretty rare, right?'

"Answer. From the data collected through [All of Creation], there are only two Spirits of Time, the Lesser Spirit and the Greater Spirit of Time."

Wait, two?! So it is super rare then? Wow, I never thought I would get such a rare spirit… wait, hold on. Why did I get a spirit of time? I know that I have an affinity with all of the elements but how does that correlate to me getting a Time Spirit?

"Failed. Unable to find the answer to that question."

Woah, that's rare. So it is a fail, huh…

"Notice. It is greatly recommended to let the spirit get an ego."

An ego? How do I do that? I know for a fact that creating an ego for something is hard…

"Notice. Naming the Spirit might have the possibility to work."

'A name? Hmm… what would be a good name… I need my list of names… Oh, how about Aurelia?'

"Confirmed. Gifting the name 'Aurelia' to the Lesser Spirit of Time… Success."

"Notice. All requirements have been met. An ego will now be created… Success."

Wait, what? That quickly?! I know for a fact that creating an ego is hard so why did it finish already?! I somehow have a bad feeling about this…
