"Next!"
Elder Mo shouted before a child of 10 years old stepped into the podium
/Chen Fa
Talent: mentality lvl 2/
The boy placed his hand on the crystal as a weak purple hue appeared which indicated he had a strong mentality which was required for Xin arts
"congratulations! You have talent for Xin arts!"
I said while patting Chen Fa's shoulder
'who's the examiner, you or me!?'
Thought Elder Mo thought to himself as he grumbled and was slowly forgotten about after I more enthusiastically tested the disciples
"Y-you mean I can become a Xin artist?"
The boys eyes sparkled at the mention, Xin artists weren't as common as the sects that recruited them had stricter standards
Usually a disciple wouldn't be recruited into their Xin sect unless he had at least a small talent for Xin arts and even then they would only be Servant disciples
Because of this most would test their aptitude at a Jin sect and if they had talent for Xin arts they would join a Xin sect
Xin artists were also considered more high class and were highly regarded, Jin artists had a limit to how good they could become at professions such as blacksmithing, pill refining, or rune engraving because they could not use Li outside of their bodies to influence or infuse Li into the item during the crafting process
A Xin artist could infuse Li into elixirs to boost their effectiveness and forming what was called pill clouds or use Li to help temper weapons further during the forging process
Pill clouds was a symbol of proof that the pill was made by a high level Pill refiner that was also a Xin artist, pill clouds formed from the excess Li energy that was stored in them and a pill with pill clouds was usually twice as effective as a normal one, they could also use their Li to remove toxins from the pills and prevent side effects
These items made by Xin artists were much more expensive than normal items, take for instance the Void ring which had enough space inside to fit a whole courtyard and was like a miniature world inside and could only be made by a Xin artist
Chen Fa upon hearing that he had talent for Xin arts dashed off to inform his parents of the good news as they wept in joy
For a commoner this was like salvation and a story of from rags to riches
My heart was filled with joy for how lucky that boy was, such talent was extremely rare, if only there were more people with talent like him oh what a wonderful world it would be... For me
When the disciple selection process finished I went back to my courtyard, although they were not many talented people this time the ones that were talented had very high level talents
There was even a boy who came from the south, the south part of the Lin empire was where the Amazon tribe lived and they were known for their extraordinary strength and stamina, thanks to him I increased both of those talents to level 6
Also there was another boy who had a lvl 7 perception talent, he was instantly taken in as a direct disciple of Elder Mo before anyone else could snatch him away
With this my cultivation speed soared and I estimated that I would reach the Adept Jin Rank within 2 years
