But even those that had just broken through into the Novice Jin were not as strong or as fast as me if they lacked the strength and agility talent
After breaking through to the Novice rank you can be finally be considered a real martial artist, all be it one of the weakest
Once I broke through to the Novice Jin I could finally practice the martial art techniques, the reason why I didn't practice it before was that I didn't have Li in my body, although to practice the stances one didn't require Li but it was still better to have everything ready and not have to undo all your training because your body didn't understand what you were trying to do
Thanks to my high comprehension talent I quickly memorized the contents of the deadly hands technique and the shadow steps technique and began practicing
Punch, kick, dash, elbow
I tried my best to follow the instructions and practiced the two techniques, thanks to my agility talent I wasn't as clumsy as a beginner should be, but even so I nearly lost my balance when I tripped
Afterwards I went to the weapon rack and practiced each weapon as the technique had stances for every common weapon such as the spear, dagger, bow, and of course the sword
As the grand finally I picked up the sword, when I did so I could feel my mind tremble as if it was trying to speak to the sword
When I swung the sword it was as if time had slowed, every wisp of air that was cut, every glint of light that bounced of the blade, every inch of weight, all these were obvious to me as it were part of my limb
The effects of sword heart at lvl 4 were obvious, practicing for a few moments already had surpassed what I had practiced all day in the other weapons
I decided that I would focus on the sword art until I found a similar talent for the other weapons as it would be pointless to try training them without it, I also decided to practice hand to hand combat as a backup in case my sword was not present or broke when I needed to fight
After a quick lunch I continued practicing my martial arts, the shadow steps technique was very useful, it followed the principles of surrounding yourself with Li which blocked out light and turned you into a shadowy figure
Of course this was extremely exhausting as I had only recently gained Li and could only used it for a few seconds before I ran out of Li in my body, after practicing the martial arts all day I layed down in bed and began absorbing Li and practicing the handsome body forging technique
The reason I could control Li outside of my body was because I was simply releasing it like a strainer with holes
Jin artists didn't have any more control over the Li outside their body than this, the reason was that once it left the body it would disperse after a short moment
Xin artists on the other hand could control Li outside of their body efficiently, but they had limited control over their body as their body would reject the energy, because of this Xin artists rely on using elixirs to heal themselves if injured
There was also another energy that was harmonious with all beings, it was commonly used by healers and doctors to treat injuries and some were even capable of regrowing limbs
This energy was called Chun which meant spring, this energy healed upon contacting the body and had no combat usage
Not many had the capabilities to become healers, although I had a book on healing I had no talent for it, because of this I had no ability to sense the energy of Chun much like any other person in the empire of Lin
Healers were very rare and were regarded highly by others, another thing that was interesting about Chun was that since it resided in the body of the healer this means he will never be sick or suffer from poisoning as long as it's not stronger than his level
They also were on the longest lived martial artist in history as they aged extremely slowly, they say that the oldest healer had taken care of the now deceased emperor when he was a baby which was around a thousand years ago
