Year 265 EC (Emperor Chen's Reign), I had spent an entire year practicing martial arts in the Qianli sect and finally became an Apprentice Jin Rank martial artist
Achieving this level within just a year was considered extremely talented and I was taken in by Grand Elder Lou as a Direct Disciple, I received my new uniform and token which were also black but had more silver embroidery and were made out of a better fabric with silver lining, the disciple token hung from my waist with a silver cloth belt
I had written many letters home and they say that everything is well, my younger sister had volunteered to study and become the next hier to the family business, I of course didn't mind, I was actually glad I didn't have to study or deal with the family business
I wanted freedom, my dream was to one day travel outside the mountain walls and explore the world, of course any person would say I have a death wish as not even the strongest in the Lin empire dare to venture outside without hiding their presence from the towering beasts that reside there
But that won't stop me, with my talent copy ability I was sure I could be as strong or even stronger than those powerhouses in the Lin empire
/Via
Talents copied: business intuition lvl 1, concentration lvl 4 (49%), perception lvl 5 (12%), strength lvl 5 (0%), vitality lvl 5 (15%), agility lvl 5 (0%), comprehension lvl 5 (0%), sword heart lvl 5 (0%), crafting lvl 4 (78%), stealth lvl 5 (0%), healing lvl 1... Etc/
After becoming a direct disciple I met with other direct disciples and even core disciples, many of them had delicious talents, I also found that when I saw that black haired boy his sword heart talent had increased by a level which I wasn't sure why, but when I tried copying his talent I could upgrade again since his level was higher than before it must have reset something
But best of all was the girl I met who was an outer disciple and had a level 1 healing talent, no body noticed this so she ended up becoming a Jin artist instead of a healer
I had jokingly convinced her to take a test saying that she had a very 'healing' Aura around her and coincidently when she asked to be tested it was confirmed
She soon was taken in as a direct disciple by the only Elder who was a healer in the sect and her status changed dramatically overnight
"ah, yes, I'm the embodiment of kindness"
I said happily as I walked away like I played no part in it, it didn't feel right to be gaining all these talents without returning anything for their help
Eventually over the course of the year I somehow gained the reputation of the kindest senior in the sect
"oh how I played them so, haha"
I couldn't help laughing, although I had treated all the disciples with respect regardless of their rank it wasn't because I was kind, it was more like a thank you from me for making me stronger
I never bothered anyone and when someone came to bother me usually the entire sect would stand against them for messing with me, many owed me a favor or were simply friends since I was easy to get along with and always encouraged them by suggested ways to help increase their talents
