Lilian let out a sigh as she walked into the room, where everything screamed luxury. The bedroom was spacious and designed in an industrial style with chandeliers hanging out in the middle. The huge bed was placed in such a way that the left side was facing the double glass doors leading to the balcony.
On the left was a walk-in closet connecting to a very spacious bathroom.
She caressed the bed feeling the soft and bouncy texture, before walking to the closet where her clothes were arranged.
Though her family could very well afford the life of the rich, they were nowhere near these people, Even her bedroom could not even match the splendor of this very room.
She now had a fresh view of the life of a wealthy man.
She stepped forward examining the room trying to get a glimpse of the very man that took her last night. Now she was married, she was wanted to know more about her husband, things she didn't get to know before their wedding. Of course, Whether or not this marriage could work, only the future can tell.
Somewhere in the high-end Office building, a Man was typing away on the laptop on his desk when his phone started ringing. His eyes took a glimpse of the screen before he reached out to pick it up.
"Hello?" That rugged voice was enough for Richard to know he had just Disturbed his Boss. He quickly informed his Boss of the reason for the call.
"Mr. Martinez, the Madam has arrived at the Villa."
Martinez twirls his seat to the side before asking, "Okay, did she say anything?"
"She just asked of you, Sir."
"Anything else?" He pressed.
"And sir. Well... She dropped by the pharmacy to get something that looked like Pills." The driver answered, calmly with slight hesitation. He didn't want to offend the Madam by telling Mr. Martinez all these but Mr. Martinez was his big Boss, so he had to obey.
"Oh? Okay, thanks, Richard. Was my brother home, when you arrived?"
"No, Sir."
"Alright," Martinez said ending the call. His brows furrowed as his right hand reached out to massage them. How could he not understand? It seems like his newly married wife had gotten herself contraceptives.
He sighed, this was going to be harder than he thought.
He glanced at his Rolex wristwatch, and it read 2:00 Pm. He took his phone and his suit jacket on the seat, before heading out.
**
"Lily!! How could you do this to me!?" Lilian immediately took the phone away from her ear, saving herself from the thunderous screech that threatened the survival of her eardrum.
"Deb... Debbie..."
"Don't Debbie me, Okay? Why the hell did I have to find out from somewhere else that my Best Friend is Married and not just married but MARRIED TO ONE OF THE NATION'S BACHELOR, MARTINEZ ADENUGA?" The was a huffing and puffing sound in the background as Deborah felt like pinching Lillian's buttocks till it turns red. She was so angry finding out her best friend was married and she didn't even know about it. What happened to their plan, huh?
Lilian furrowed her brows and started thinking of ways to pacify her Anger. This drama Queen had always wanted to become her bridesmaid when she did get married. But it wasn't her fault either, She had gone on holiday to her Village to visit her grandmother. And there wasn't any network in the village, how was her calls and texts supposed to through? It's not like she knew she would get married so soon, anyway if she could not be her bridesmaid, she could just be Godmother to her future kids.
With that, Lilian did not waste any time pacifying her. Anyway, she didn't want her best friend to come for her, she could be very Petty at times.
"Deborah, it wasn't my fault at all. I didn't even know I would be getting married and I even tried calling you but your line wasn't going through. I'll make it up to you."
Deborah's family wasn't that wealthy or poor. They were in between, Deborah's father was a lecturer at the University while her mother was a boutique owner. Both of them got to know each other from school as they were studying the same course. Though those two were friends they were actually quite the opposite of each other.
While Lilian was the Churchy Good girl, Deborah was the vibe of every party. She'd go to many parties sometimes dragging the uninterested Lilian in the name of relaxing and enjoying once in a while.
"Fine. Fine. I get it, but Lily how is it that you are married? I mean if I remember correctly, you refused to date any of the guys that asked you out, or were you dating behind my back?" Deborah was totally confused about the whole thing. She could still remember some guys coming to her just to get her attention but she wouldn't even spare them a glance, saying she was not ready for a relationship.
"My dear, it's a long story."
Hearing that, all types of scenarios popped up in her mind and she couldn't help asking, "Long Story? Hey, don't tell me you had a one-night stand with a rich bachelor and he came for your hand in Marriage after falling in love with you?"
"Hey! What kind of twisted novel plot are you talking about? I was still a plain virgin before I got married, Okay?" Besides she didn't think that her husband was in love with her, this marriage was just like a business deal, an alliance of some sort but she couldn't help thinking about that night... About his fiery kisses and how he made love to her but more frustratingly she could not get the picture of that man at the wedding out of her head. 'I Wonder If he is one of Martinez's friends.'
Deborah gasped catching on to the last sentence that she Let Out a cheer. "Oooh... That means you have finally popped your Cherry. How was it? Was it good? Is his dick big?"
"Gosh, Deborah you are such a perv. I'm telling you nothing." Lilian gasped, her ears turning red.
"Oooh? Does that mean he did a great job didn't he? Hey! Don't hang up on me!" Deborah exclaimed glancing at her phone with dissatisfaction, not getting the gist she wanted. "Hmmph, just because you hang up doesn't mean I don't know what you are thinking. Just you wait, see how I deal with you, and still get the full gist I want!" She muttered with a mischievous glint in her eyes...
"What a crazy girl." Lilian threw the phone on the bed and chuckled patting her flushed cheeks as bits and pieces of her wedding night flashed in her mind.
Her stomach finally released a grumbling sound of protest, bringing to her attention that she hasn't eaten anything since morning. She stood up and walked out of the room trying to find something to eat, as she passed by a door. It was left slightly ajar, as she tried to get a glimpse of the inside. It looked more like an art studio, there were several paintings in the room that looked like a live exhibition of vivid artworks. At the corner, Lilian saw a vague painting of a woman's legs though she could not see everything as it was covered with a cloth. Those legs were shapely and beautiful and those feet with painted toenails were worth dying for. It got to be a pair of legs any man could go for.
"What are you doing here?" Lilian almost jumped out of her skin at the startling Cold voice coming from behind her.
Turning around, She saw HIM.
She couldn't believe it, standing a few feets away from her was the Handsome she saw standing behind her husband on her wedding day. 'Why was he here?' 'Did he come to visit, Martinez? Even if he did, it doesn't explain that Cool expression on his face, questioning her as if she owed him something.'
As if caught doing something wrong, Lilian started stuttering. "Ahh, that... I saw the door was open and I caught a glimpse of..."
"This room is off-limits." The Handsome man coolly said before reaching out to twist the Lock.
"Excuse me?"Lilian asked.
"You shouldn't be snooping around other people's rooms. Don't come here, again." The man whose name she didn't know said once again, his tone of utter dislike, before walking away.
'So this room belongs to him?'
"I see, you've met my younger brother, Williams." Lilian glanced over at the end of the stairs, to see Martinez walking towards her dressed in the same clothes as yesterday.
'Brother... Brother? What did he mean by 'my younger brother?'
The very man she was crushing over was her husband's brother? That means he is my brother-in-law!'
How come she didn't know about him? Even the internet didn't have any news about Martinez having a brother. And she didn't even see him at the traditional wedding. She only knew of Anita, his elder sister that is a Married woman.
Seeing her in a daze, Martinez was amused. What could she be thinking about?
"I know, that I'm handsome but you don't have to look at me like that, hmm?" Martinez said grinning from ear to ear as he walked to where she was standing. Hearing his nonsense, Lilian came out of her daze, flashing an awkward smile with a blush on her face.
"Hey." She greeted, not knowing what else to say.
"I heard you came back a while ago, you haven't eaten, have you? I'm sorry, I really had to leave earlier because of work." Lilian lifted her head and peered at the man before her that was apologizing for leaving before she woke up and couldn't help but blush as her thoughts drifted to the passionate lovemaking.
She could see, that he was a man that own up to his faults.
"So how was last night." He teased, watching as she stood flustered with shame and embarrassment.
It was as if something exploded in her mind, and she could not form any words to say in response. "You..."
She was so ashamed, thinking about how loud and shameless she sounded last night that she ran off, not knowing where she was going in particular.
