Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Wait, That Was You?!

She slowly opened her eyes and looked around. She yawned a couple of times, and then that's when I could tell she noticed something was off. She looked at me and immediately her eyes were wider than a wormhole. She gulped and stared at me for a minute. "I-...I can- I can explain! Please don't be afraid of me!" I replied, "How the hell am I not supposed to be afraid?! You're a slimy green woman who broke into my house and decided I was comfy enough to sleep on!" She sighed. "...You're the one who let me in your house, don't go putting the blame on me." "No I didn't! I don't even know who you are! Plus, you're fucking naked! Christ, go put on some clothes!" She started to sniffle. I could tell she really took offense to my words, and I knew what I was saying was rude. "...Hey I'm- I'm sorry I-" Before I could begin apologizing, she burst into tears. "Don't apologize! I know, I'm a monster! I'm ugly, I'm horrific! I don't even know why you brought me here in that stupid jar!" She turned away and cried into her palms. "Wait so..." It took me a minute to realize.

Holy shit! Did she mean that she was the green blob besides that tree some days ago? I mean... it made sense. Her skin was the exact color, and I heard that slime-folk had blob figures and humanoid figures. "Wait... that was you?!" She paused and nodded. "Oh my...Oh dear sweet mother Mary I'm so sorry!" I hugged her from behind tightly, even if she was slimy and not comfy consistency wise, I hugged her. "I'm so sorry! It was so obvious, I hate myself for not knowing sooner! You're not a monster, nor ugly or horrific! I am!" I started crying with her. I let go and spread my arms. "C'mon! Beat the shit out of me! Please, I deserve it!" She turned around, with glittery eyes she giggled. "No, I won't. No matter how rude you are, I could never bring myself to hurt you." I slowly put my arms down. "...Really? I thought that you wouldn't let an opportunity like that pass..." I wiped the hot tears off of my cheeks. "No no! Never in my life. I could never do such a thing to my master." When I heard her say "my master" I was taken aback. "Your what now?" I asked, confused and scared. "My master." She said, confidently. "You know that's you, right?" "Huh?! I... I'm so confused. I'm your master now?!" She nodded.

"But... that's... what?!" She cleared her throat. "You've been owning me for a while now, so you're my master. It just works, right? You own me now!" She gave me a bright smile before saying, "And I'm so glad you are." I laughed nervously. "This whole thing doesn't make sense at all...Is that how it actually works?" "Mhm! It's been working like this for a while now, the whole Interspecies Agreement basically says that if you capture a monster and make a strong bond with them, you become their master!" I rubbed my face. "That just sounds violating, doesn't it? It's like slavery all over again!" She sighed and furrowed her eyebrows. "Yeah... it really does. But hey, what are we supposed to do? Rebel against the contract? They'll surely have our heads on a silver platter before we say anything." I started thinking. "Well... We can't just let it be. Otherwise humans might take this ability too far and use monsters as their slaves."

She went deep in thought right as I thought of something. "Hey..by the way, what's your name?" After a couple of seconds, she snapped out of it. "Huh? Oh... my name is Silvia! What's yours?" "I'm Marell, lovely to meet you, Miss Silvia." I took her hand and kissed it gently, like someone would do with a member of a royal family. She laughed. "You're so sweet, Marell. May I call you Mary?" "Whatever you wish, your majesty." She giggled. I was glad I could make her laugh a bit, I knew it eased the tension between us somewhat. I smiled at her, and she smiled back. "Well, my master. Do you have any ideas for this... revolution of yours?" I chuckled lightly. "I wouldn't say it would be a revolution, more of a... protest." "Whatever you say, m'dear." She snickered. "Well... I want to make sure every species of monster is loved. So, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to go Monster Love Ranching!" I sat confidently and stared at her.

"Ohh boy, this is gonna be tough." She laughed.

"You're damn right, but doesn't mean I'll give up."
