Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: You Want to What?! I Just Met You!

I smiled, feeling satisfied with myself. I had finally made myself useful, and I might be able to turn things around. But the world would be coming after me for this. The world always does that. Nothing is easy on Earth, and nothing will ever be. It doesn't matter if you're rich, poor, dead, alive, young, old, the world will be coming for you. That's why you have to stay determined in the darkest shades, and in the lightest of days. No matter what, somewhere inside of you is a giant spark of hope, and you just have to ignite it. Silvia and I continued talking for a bit more, and we started to get along. That was when she said something that knocked the wind right out of me. "I want you to claim me. For real." My widened eyes met hers, and I could barely form a sentence. I didn't know what to say. I could only stare at her with a horrified expression, as I tried to fumble through my brain. "Oh, what is it?" She asked me, a bit annoying. "I-I-I-I... You want me to what?! I don't even know you that well!" I spoke. I was longing to get some form of words out of my mouth, and I finally did.

"You heard me. It's part of the Interspecies Agreement, remember? I just told you about it." "But...what?! Just because it's part of this whole agreement, doesn't mean I'm willing to! I'm too young! Plus, I want to rebel against that agreement, and show others that... well you know..." I caught myself from trailing too far off the beaten path. I adjusted my sitting position, my legs started to hurt from sitting like how I was. She smirked and her gaze pierced through mine like an arrow to my heart. An arrow to my soul. I held my hands together and tightened my grip. My heartbeat was going as fast as a racing car. I tried to calm myself down. "What are you so nervous for?" "What do you mean?! It's obvious!" She only giggled at my panic. I felt a bit frustrated. "You want me to claim you already? But... how? I don't even know what you mean..." I had a good guess at what she meant, and it turned out I was right.

"Huh- Humph!"

I groaned as she latched onto me and made us both fall back onto my bed. "You must claim me before others do. Please! I beg! I can even do most of the work if you want me to..." "I'm too young! I can't! I don't want to!" I pleaded. "I don't even know how old you are! I don't even know that much about you. Please, I don't want to." She stared at me with her furrowed eyebrows and her frown. I stared back at her with a guilty expression, but still standing my ground. We laid there, staring at each other. Suddenly, I heard my father's familiar hard footsteps come stomping up the stairs towards my room. I started panicking. "S...Silvia..my dad's coming up..." I whispered to her. I looked around the room looking for anything to hide her with. She insisted on staying laid on top of me. "Silvia, if anyone finds you here you and I are both dead! Help us both out here." "Mary~? Is anything going on in there?" My father asked.

"N-no! Everything's fine! I- Augh!" She wrapped her arms around me harder, making it harder for me to breathe. "I'm coming in there!" My father said. "Silvia please-" I stopped dead in my tracks when she phased through my clothes, effectively hiding herself. "Not the brightest idea but it works.." I said, hesitantly. I laid on my bed with the covers hiding both halves of me, only revealing my head. I cleared my throat as he glared at me. "What's up, father?" "I need to talk to you." My heart dropped. What could he possibly want from me? "About what?" I asked. I was starting to sweat from the heat of my heavy blanket. "Well...you know today is a very im-" I snapped in his face. "Okay and?! What do you want me to do this time? Watch as monsters minding their own business get slaughtered and stolen just for fun? Absolutely not. Find someone else, I'm not going to be associated with you anymore. I feel embarrassed just calling you 'father'." I got off of my bed and stood my ground in front of him.

"Can't you just take a hint already? You're useless to me. I don't know why you even try to convince me into playing your little game. So what if you want to keep it going? I don't care. I'll stop you however I want, however I can. I do not care for you." I walked out of my room, not caring for what he had to say. I sighed heavily, crossing my arms as I stormed out of the house.

Well, now what do I do? I just snapped at my father. I'm so done for...

…Unless.
