Chapter 31 - Body Of God

My body was  not  his.

I stared at the bug-like monster in the shape of a man, my heart pounding in my chest. I stood there in a castle of shadows, surrounded by horrendous depictions of war ... of alien-looking creatures wielding guns and blades. Some were green with bulging muscles like the fallen bodies in my last dream. Other were shapes closer to octopi or crayfish.

And this thing with his ... black exoskeleton ... He extended an arm to me, beckoning me with a silent grin to take it and become ... his "body."

"Sorry, but I'm not yours." I stumbled backward, my eyes glued to the multiple eyeballs sitting on his head. "I don't know what all this body nonsense is about. If this isn't a dream ... I want out."

He garbled in that grotesque voice of his, "Your body ... is my ... body."

I shook my head, then with a farther stumble back, my back hit cold, iron bars. Had I been here before? God, my memory read back to me incomprehensibly.
