Chapter 30 - thirty

I gave the cash to her and she kept it in her car. I changed into my leather pants and a black tank with a large red hoodie, dirty and torn to make it look like I was just defeated in a fight. It reached down my thighs covering the two guns I had wrapped around me. I was nervous.

"You're gonna do great", I reassured Seok-Min who seemed quite anxious. He shrugged and I smiled.

"Come, we don't want her getting suspicious." Young-Jae mumbled, where was he going?

"You're not going anywhere, get back in." He gave me a serious look and I shook my head.

"No Young-Jae, letting Seok-Min in there is dangerous enough, you're not going anywhere." I turned him by his shoulders.

"Beatrice, I'm fucking serious, stop acting like you're alone in this."

"Young-Jae, you can help. Stay just outside so when I flee with Seok-Min, nobody catches us." I suggested and he nodded after thinking for a hot minute.

"Done. I'll be following her car and I'll park mine just outside so you can run in." I nodded and we get into the cars with Seok-Min looking like he really was being kidnapped. I took my hand in his squeezing it.

"You're going in with her, me and Noah, we're gonna follow her in a few minutes later to make it look like I came to beg her to leave you alone and shit, kay?" He nodded understandingly and draped an arm around my shoulder, giving me a bro hug.

"We're here, you good bro?" Noah asked Seok-Min and then looked at me.

"Let's go, she would eat me alive if I get more late." Lily said turning the car's ignition off.

It had been over 5 minutes since the two of them went inside and this was our cue. Me and Noah stood in front of the gate of her house.

As Lily told us, Jullian's father was not at home, he wouldn't be home for a month. We just had to take out Jullian and the guards that were supposed to me take inside. I looked at my watch and the timing was just perfect, 7 minutes since they went in. We both moved to the door and surprisingly it was open like she saw us coming.

"Bee, no matter what happens, don't look back, just take Seok-Min with you and run away." He said it like he knew something was up.

"We'll be fine don't worry," I assured him but was it the truth? Would we ever be fine? Today? Maybe. Tomorrow? Probably not. But right then? We were good as hell.

The door was swung open by Lily and she winked at me discreetly. I nodded at Noah and we moved with her. The guards let us go inside after seeing Lily and I smiled to myself. As soon as we were at the main entrance of the house, Lily turned towards me gesturing me to begin my act.

"Jullian! Jullian open up, it's me Bee!" I faked a sad voice banging on her door and she opened it a minute later, smirking. I wanted to punch her teeth.

"Oh Hi, I suppose you're here for your friend." She smiled evilly. Gosh, I hate her.

"Please let him go Jullian, take me but please leave him." I begged her. It's just an act. I chanted to myself. Ugh.

"Come inside besties, I'll think about it." She chimed, opening the door wide. I stepped in behind her and in front of Noah. As soon as we were inside, I scanned the living room for any signs of Seok-Min. None.

"Noah, baby, why don't you sit with her while I bring some water for myself."

"Jullie please, she's very desperate I don't want to her face for long. Give her what she wants and make her go away." Noah tsked, ouch. I knew it was an act but this hurt.

"Okay. So Bee? What will I get in exchange for your friend?" She asked cockily.

"Whatever you want, just don't hurt him." I acted but really just didn't want him hurt.

"I don't really want anything from you but I want to tell you something." She said. My eyes shot up at her. I knew exactly what she was talking about.

"What?" I breathe out.

"I actually never loved your brother, what was his name, Jack. And I'm sorry for your loss, you know, I never wanted him dead, I just wanted you to suffer alone, so, I was quite happy when Noah told me how lonely you were." I clenched my fists together. She was testing me.

"Jullian stop." Noah said worried.

"No, I want her to know. So then one day, you show up at my club, with your seven new minions, they're rude, really, never bothered to meet me again, you know, after they worked for me," My breath hitched in my throat. They've what, now?

"I mean not exactly me, my father but the real deal is that I was furious when I got to know that you made new friends, ah no, a new family. So I decided to take your Noah away and now you're gonna see how I discord your new set of minions from the roots." She spat harshly directed at me. It didn't matter who they worked for before, they were with me now, it was good enough.

"Please just let Seok-Min go." I whispered on the verge of tears. This time it was not an act.

"Let me bring him out for you though, he's nearby, just the next room." She casually twirled around and I pulled my hoodie over my head. I grabbed my gun out of the holster around my waist and when she turned around she had one in hand too. She knew my weakness and she knew I had this planned all along, but she probably didn't know about Noah.

I shot the door to her left and she jumped up in surprise. She was scared like she should be.

"Let Seok-Min go or I shoot." I warned. Ten.

"I can shoot too. He's not going anywhere." Nine.

"Jullian, I swear I won't hesitate to shoot you right here." I warned again. Eight.

"Bee, baby, I'm not scared of you, I know you can't shoot me. You're too fragile to kill me." Seven. I shot near her foot and she jumped up again.

"One more and you'll be over with, let him go and I might let you live." Six.

"Huh, you think I'm that dumb?" She pointed her gun towards Noah and my heart stopped for a second. She wouldn't shoot him right?

"What did I ever do to you?" I asked defeated, voice shaking.

"Your father, he killed my mother, my sister and this is my revenge. He took my family and I took his. But you survived so I want to kill you bit by bit." She snarled. Five.

What? This can't possibly be true. I can't believe all of this happened because of my father's mistakes. My mom, Jack and I suffered because of a man I didn't even care about. I got so lost in thought that I didn't see her move the gun closer to Noah. Four.

"Don't you love him?" I asked her, referring to Noah.

"Of course I do, but he sold me out so he has to die now," She knew. Lily, she must have told Jullian everything.

"Kill me instead, leave them alone. Leave the boys and Noah alone. Please." I begged her.

"No, you're no fun. Come on, now. Noah, tell me why you deceived me." She said through gritted teeth.

"Because I love her." As soon as the sentence flew out of his mouth, a bullet shot ringed through the air. My eyes shot open and wide when I saw him. Blood oozing out of his shirt, right where the heart was. Another shot and he was on the floor.

Three. Two. One. Zero.

Bang. Bang.

She shot him twice, once directly between his perfect brows and once right through the upper left half of his body. His iconic cocky little smirk was righ there, the mischevious glint in his eyes never disappeared untill after the bullet had pierced his skin and he landed on the carpeted floor of her house's living room with a loud thud.

I stood there, watching my family fall apart right in front of her eyes. I expected myself to grow weak, to look back at him again. I'd though I would lose it the moment he died, because that's what I would pick. Family. Family over anything and everything.

What I did not expect was to stand still, tall, proud. It wasn't like I was heartless or something. I cared, more than Jullian ever did for him but I had no idea that he would take the idea of family to this extent, till death. And because I cared, my hand wavered but only for a second maybe less than that, my eyes did water, seeing him go right in front of me, but only for a second.

The very next second, I pointed my guns right where Jullian's had been towards him, one between her brows, the other towards her heart.

Was I gonna shoot? Of course I was gonna shoot, she took everything from me. My family, the first one and now him. All I had left were my boys.

"Are you gonna say someth-" I didn't let her finish either, the sentence or her final breath.

Bang. Bang.
