Sunday came again. Daimon was already gone before the maids brought their breakfast.
Rowena had partially awakened groggily when she felt the bed shift as he exited it.
"Go back to sleep, Rowena" he murmured soothingly. "I have something I need to take care of."
She vaguely remembered murmuring something is response before happily going back to sleep. It wasn't until she was awakened by the maids a few hours later that she fully realized he had left.
They brought her a light breakfast and dressed her for the day. Daimon did not return. She was disappointed that he would not be joining her.
And she was worried about him too. She was concerned that he was too stressed out. Although she understood why because she, too, was concerned about the mysterious and potentially dangerous incidents that were happening around them.
But she didn't know how to help him relax. Well, she did know one way, but he didn't seem to be interested in that right now.
