Rowena had a million questions she wanted to ask Prince Helios. But she held her tongue and waited patiently for him to finish the tale.

The night before it was his turn, Sol-Ange met with Naveena in secret. Again, he professed his love for her and reiterated his promise to marry her once the Underground Dwellers were finally defeated. She promised to lead the chants in support of his victory and to become his wife once he triumphed.
At dawn the next day, it was Sol-Ange's turn to be the final champion. He received particular encouragement from Navarre and his parents.
Naveena hugged him tightly and told him that she believed wholeheartedly in his victory. He kissed her passionately and gently wiped her tears away.
Naveena was startled to realize that his impassioned and loving kiss restored her youth and beauty. But her joy was short-lived as it was quickly replaced with concern for Sol-Ange's safety.
