Rowena left Zella to her meal and went to find Daimon. He was waiting for her outside their rooms.
Daimon escorted her into the dining hall where the delegation from Cyra was already seated and sipping on wine. They rose and bowed to the Imperial Couple when they entered.
Daimon helped Rowena to her seat then sat down beside her. The long dining table was large enough that there were two seats at what was considered the 'head' of the table. He then nodded at the Cyran delegates who sat down.
Prince Helios sat to the right of Daimon although the seat immediately to his right remained empty. The seat immediately to the left of Rowena remained empty as well. Other members of the party sat on the right and left of the table each with one empty seat in between them.
At Daimon's signal the first course of the meal was served. Rowena observed that the members of the Cyran delegation seemed uncomfortable and even nervous except for Prince Helios.
