"The story is very familiar to me somehow, but I don't exactly know why." Rowena said puzzled by her feelings about what she'd just heard.
Tutor Jing was silent. He knew she was just thinking things through on her own. He waited patiently for her to finish her thought processes and ask him more questions.
"So, what happened to the Kingdom of Carys? Does the myth have a reason for the kingdom's ending?"
"Ah, yes. Of course, it does."
"If it didn't have a dramatic ending, it would not have fallen and faded into mythology." Rowena said.
Tutor Jing continued his tale with his rich baritone voice echoing in his study.
"But all things must come to an end. Even the best things. And the power and glory of Carys was no different. It fell as spectacularly and as quickly as it had risen."
"At the very pinnacle of its supremacy and splendor, it suddenly vanished. One moment it was there and the next it was gone. And…"
