After yesterday's excitement, Daimon was hoping it would be an uneventful day. He was also hoping Rowena would join him. which, if she did, would likely make it an eventful day. But her event-inducing would be infinitely more fun than anyone else's.
She was good company. And her little asides to him were not only amusing, but insightful. Although she was careful that no one else could hear them. He found that time passed much more quickly and pleasantly when she was by his side.
Today Daimon would have to hear arguments for cases by the High Court. As Crown Prince, he was the final judge in any legal proceedings that occurred in capital city. Cases were brought to him either upon appeal of a local court's ruling or because the participants are of higher social status. It was mostly the latter. Those of high status refused to bother themselves with following the rules set up for the commoners, so they often bypassed the lower courts entirely.
